We all saw the bullet and the untouched teleprompters so he's already a clown.
But is he... somehow arguing that shrapnel injuries don't "count"?
Is he going to call for all those wounded vets to return their Purple Hearts if they didn't take a direct hit from an RPG or IED, but instead lost their limbs/eyes/face to shrapnel?
Boston Marathon bombing victims, turns out you're actually fine, it was just a little shrapnel according to Michael Steele.

There are always a minimum of two of those when someone is speaking. But I would venture to guess that neither of us will ever be allowed to personally examine the ear to know for sure.
Edit: But to look at the glass theory objectively, there does seem to be little evidence to support it. The one thing that no one has ever published is a photograph of a broken glass thing. With that much press around, there would be some evidence of it.
The most logical explanation is the simplest, that a shot from the 20 year old kid grazed Trump's ear.
