I got 12 seconds into that.
I cry foul.
15 minutes in the penalty box for roughing the listener!

That was awful. They did say all the correct words, poorly.

Still had them dancing in the street instead of rioting.

FYI,
Just in case some don't know as it was a long time ago, the black woman (85 yo) is Martha Reeves. Martha and the Vandellas was a very influential group at the beginning of the Mo-Town movement. We've all heard their hits..
No where to Run
Heatwave
Dancing in the streets
etc.

Don't quit your day jobs, ladies.

It doesn't matter who this is, or was. As Huey Lewis sang in the 80's, sometimes bad is bad.

I'm not defending the good or bad, I just thought some might be interested that one of the singers was admitted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame over 30 years ago and was a strong influence on the music of her time.
Carry on.
Carry on.

I don’t understand how the MMLB leadership thought this was a good idea. It will be an uphill battle to get people to watch these games anyway so let’s run off the few people that would have watched. That was the worse singing of the National Anthem I have ever seen

Well at minimum at least they are singing the national anthem and especially not the so called bna.

In her day Martha Reeves was one of the best who ever did it.
2026 is not her day.
The people who deserve censure are the ones who put her in this position at age 85.

This is how this woman should be remembered, not for what happened yesterday.

I had to check. Yep. Not the OT.
Posted on 8/3/26 at 3:23 pm to Placekicker
Kind of disappointed that a black singer sang the closing “brave” lyric with fewer than 37 syllables.

Op you act like you came with something unseen. This was posted twice yesterday on this board, once on sports forum and once on OT lounge... and this was all yesterday, not a day late like you.
