And Obama should have done this and did to some degree in Ferguson and Baltimore.

If a local mayor refused to establish law and order in their city, some people would reflexively oppose anything done by Obama. But Obama would’ve had a moral weight of correctness on his side.

Have federal troops ever been used to help clean up national disasters? Pretty sure they have at some point so why can't federal troops be used to clean up chaos created by a lack of law and order? I welcome them and their help in restoring normalcy just as I would from a national disaster event. You should too. When help is needed and you are out of options, you take it.

This. I think of the Seattle chaz bullshite. That looked like a trendy little place to be during normal times. With trendy businesses and apartments. How would it feel if I were 27 years old and living (Houston) in midtown or the Heights or Village? Anyplace cool to be with beer and women. And one day shits burning in front of my complex. The next I have people camped out in front of my place. It would suck to waste a year of that time in my life.
I’d say I would leave, but how do you move out in the middle of a riot?
