have they ever read the preamble to the constitution?

quote:

We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Part of the governments job is to make sure citizens are safe.

Thanks to Schoolhouse Rock I could sing / recite the Preamble since I was a young lad.

We’ve had too many generations of people indoctrinated in public schools, and their indoctrination is now producing fruit.

This is a Trump chess move. He sends them in, the lib governors and mayors bitch and want them out.

Trump campaigns that liberals want you to live in a war zone where riots are the new normal.

The problem is, there are conservative enclaves in each state, usually In the suburbs, and they are constantly outvoted by the citizens of the large liberal cities. So unfortunately, these people are harmed through no fault of their own for their states inactions.

Amazing how local response to federal troops varies with the party affiliation of the local official and the occupant of the White House.

There is a huge thread about this on the OT. That frickstain korkstand is full blown knighting for the rioters.

Sad. I am 47. Explained something to my wife the other day by singing “I’m just a Bill” to her. The sad part, could we even have Schoolhouse Rock today without it being called racist or indoctrination.

I don't like the riots either but I don't think you can call yourself a conservative if you like this federal government overreach.

It sounds counterintuitive but law and order is a prerequisite for individual freedom.

You can't have individual freedoms with mobs threatening and beating you.

You are correct!

Sad to say I was having a conversation with a Dem and they actually said just that. They think the "general welfare" means the government should pay for their very existence.

Where is the overreach? Federal Officers making arrests for federal crimes? They aren't kicking in doors, there has been no proof a rights violations. The only boogeyman part of this whole thing is the unmarked van. and that has already been explained that rioters are burning and destroying any marked police car around, so for officer safety they used rental vehicles. Oh and the left wants to cancel Enterprise for renting them cars.

Doesn't the Supremacy Clause come into play regarding crimes committed on or in Federal property?

I’m afraid Louisiana is turning into one of these states. Too many educated people leaving. We will be left with liberal shitholes for cities and no one to cover their votes.

Who has the responsibility to protect Federal property? It most certainly is not overreach...

Does't a governor's swearing in say he/she will uphold the constitution of that state and the constitution of the United States? Seems to me that federal government has a sayso in certain aspects of state government when that pledge is taken. You have pointed out one of them.
