I see nothing but betrayal by the "Republicans" in DC. Even the based ones we usually praise are being exposed as globalist traitors now.

America has regressed to tribalism and that is the present and foreseeable future. Trying to save the nation as a whole will just exhaust our energy and resources. It is gone. Mourn for it, cry if you need to, but move on for your family's sake.

The left has done a magnificent job of dividing this country. I don't see a path back to what was. At least not on the national level. The situation is too far gone now.

Republicans winning the House, Senate, or even the presidency wont stop what is coming. Trump was the best President of my lifetime and he barely made a dent.

I would like to believe some states could secede but I think even the red state governments are too invested in the globalism money train to pull back.

Running away to another country wont do a damn thing. No safe place to run to anyway.

We will survive as a people by banding together in small communities. Watching each others backs. Rural is best but suburbs can work if enough like minded people live on the same block and own the street. Support local business as much as you can. Avoid the global corporate whores as often as possible. If you have land plant a garden. Teach your children to hunt and fish. Homeschool them if you can. If you cant then make sure you are at every single school board meeting and watch those frickers like a hawk.

But don't worry True Believers. I will continue on with the charade of voting for all the good it does. But my time and money will be solely focused on local concerns from now on.

Some of you have already doing all of this and much more. You are in good shape to survive the coming collapse. Others are still in denial. I hope they see the light before it is too late.

America was founded as a system of local communities. I wouldn't even call this regressing. Getting back to local communities and concentrating power there would be music to Jefferson's ears.

Every amendment after the Bill of Rights was designed to centralize power in DC and make it easier for them to do what they want, how they want. Two of the big ones: the 12th centralized power in the executive branch to one party and guaranteed that the party of the executive would have the tie breaker in the Senate, and the 17th took away representation from State governments.

Focusing on local efforts is probably the best way for us to unite as a country by having everyone look out for their local interests as a whole. We become a country of individual communities and get back to the roots of federalism. DC won't like it, but it's probably the first step in progress towards getting our country back.

I whole heartily agree with your premise.

We must take back our local school boards, our board of regents, our city councils, local mayor offices...

When I see young American junior high AND high schoolers and college age folks wearing che guevara shirts and celebrating mass murderers like josef stalin, mao zee-dung, lenin, marx...it saddens me to no end.

I remember reading and being taught that these were evil people and that their ideology was evil.
Now in many schools and colleges they are being celebrated as hero's.

We have probably lost large segments of our young people, two maybe three generations of our future leaders.

Look at obama, an American hating fool that was elected not once BUT twice to the highest office in our land.

Look at the idiot bar-tender 'sandy' or aoc. Dumb as a box of rocks but the left looks to her as a super-star and could potentially be a future president of the United States.

Yep, we must start focusing on taking back our local politics BUT and a HUGE HUGE BUT, we CANNOT give up on our state and federal politics.

The election of DJT as President was the proverbial 'shot heard around the world'.

Our country is NOT over, not by a thousand miles.

Yes we as a nation are tethering closer and closer and we getting nearer to the edge.
The edge which strikes fear in me.

Not as an individual for I have been saved by the loving Grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I fear for future generations of this great land that many of us love. I fear for these young children that are coming up and who may be able ONLY to read about the liberty, freedom and prosperity that this great country once had.

I do see glimmers of hope. The election of DJT gave our nation a huge moral boost, something I have not seen in a long, long time.

Yeah, they stole our election BUT we must double-up and start working harder than ever. Sacrificing many things in our life's.

This is a good idea.

Flush the garbage out of your local school boards, city councils, zoning boards, police chiefs, sheriff departments, public utility boards, county or parish councils/boards, etc.

Many times these elections are not in the same cycle as national elections and very few participate so it doesn't take all that many votes to make a change.

People claim that the party affiliation of elected officials, even mayors, in small towns doesn’t matter. However, the same folks who had “Hate has no home here” (but hated Trump) and Biden signs will put up signs for the Dem candidate. Then people get angry when the mayor and city council support zoning changes that increase multi-family housing in areas adjacent to established, nicer communities.

Keep an eye on the signs that pop up in Biden yards and vote against those candidates. Apparently, voting against someone can bring in 81 million votes.

Let it go on the federal level. It is pointless to vote on the federal level as they will pick who they want. Contribute more at the local, county and state level. At those levels your voice can still be heard and you can put fire to the feet unlike DC politicians.

Our democratic republic is meant to work from the individual up. So yes, get involved in all things local and state level.

Also, I'd like to see Congress become a virtual congress where Senators and Representatives spend all of their time living among the people who elected them. Too many go off to DC, drink the swamp water and forget who they serve and represent.

Keeping them at home among local influence would help keep them on the rails.

A recall option for Senators and Representatives would work wonders.

This makes sense to me. I think we need try to keep money in our local communities. It is also a good idea to try to avoid the corrupt mainstream media.

Stop. You still have to vote on the federal level to keep the pressure on and force them to continue to cheat.

There are several "Republican" posters on this board who have said they vote for Democrats in local races.

They are the problem within the Republican Party.

Democrat politicians are worthless shite at the local level also.

The riots last year prove that, as well as the prosecutor and judge in the Rittenhouse case.

They can make up any number they want. Voting is a waste of time as the Dems with the assistance of Republicans will ensure they get who they want. The 2020 election is the new normal.

This is actually where Democrats have made gains, concentrating on local while Republicans try to nationalize everything. Perfect reason Rispone lost. JBE and the LA Democrat local ground game within the communities was 500% better.

But look at this board. It's MAGA, stolen election and COVID covered. Local and state political stuff barely gets recognized.

20 years ago, your conservative talk radio stations would have local news/politics/debate shows in the morning and evenings. Now, majority of that has been overtaken with more national syndicated stuff.

In Lafayette, when KPEL 96.5 cut out the last two hours of Hannity to make way for a local conservative show that discussed real state and local issues, as well as national, a ton of people lost their shite demanding to have Hannity back.

Local elections have such a low turn out that it would be easy to when if you get others motivated to vote. School board elections are on the primary election when there is only a 20-25% turn out . I think we had a 12% turnout for a special city council election earlier this year . We got to get people on the local level motivated .

The 19th amendment did the most damage. Almost all bills passed that infringe on freedoms were due to some emotional response to a tragedy by mostly women voters

This is the way forward in my opinion as well. Governmentally, materially, economically, socially, educationally, and, religiously.

The Black Book of Communism should be required reading for all high school students starting in 10th grade. Fail the test and they have to take it again in 11th and so on.
