Fmr. CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield: Jab Should Not Have Been Called a vaccine that it didn't prevent transmission and that there never should have been mandates

No I'm saying that if you're unvaccinated and you take up a bed that leads to a person without covid being denied service, you bear personal responsibility for that.

If I ever had trust in a government agency it went away in March of 2020.
That's a good thing.
I'm not sure the medical community blowing up their own credibility will be a positive in the long run.

He’s right, you know…

Yes, this is him when leaving CDC leadership, taking his share of credit credit and encouraging widespread vaccination (as he should have):
Fox News - Redfield defends CDC's COVID-19 vaccine rollout
quote:
"I encourage the president-elect [Biden] to focus on his pledge to get 100 million people vaccinated in 100 days," Redfield told the outlet. "I’m glad we gave him a foundation to build on. Last week, we had two days when we vaccinated one million people a day. We laid a foundation for vaccine administration. I find it unfortunate when some people suggest that the vaccine program one million a day is somehow a disaster – but it will be a model when the Biden administration does it."
Redfield said that while he is not trying to criticize the Biden administration, he would "rather they would be thankful" than say "they inherited a mess."

The testing was a fiasco early on:
Contamination at CDC lab was likely cause of critical early delays in rolling out coronavirus testing (April 2020)
quote:
Contamination in manufacturing the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention test for the coronavirus caused weeks of delays that slowed the US response to the pandemic, multiple health officials have told CNN, a problem that stemmed in part from the CDC not adhering to its own protocols, according to a US Food and Drug Administration spokesperson.
“CDC made its test in one of its laboratories, rather than in its manufacturing facilities,” the FDA spokesperson told CNN on Saturday. “CDC did not manufacture its test consistent with its own protocol.”
The government has never fully explained what stalled the rollout of a crucial test needed to begin measuring the extent of the spread of Covid-19. It would take until the end of February to correct and the US continues to lack extensive testing capability even as some states prepare ease up on restriction and reopen to a degree.

Quote me where I said that healthcare should be denied to an unvaccinated person.
Unbelievable. So when central planning fails, blame the patients?
Only in a sovietized healthcare system would bureaucrats ration healthcare and then declare patients morally guilty for needing it. That isn’t ethics, it’s laundering institutional failure into collective guilt.

Tiguar got a bad rap here.
Maybe so.
I believe many otherwise rational people went off the deep end during the whole ordeal — but particularly those in pharmacological/healthcare adjacent industries.
COVID-1984 was a much a mind-virus as anything.

Damn, I had a lot of people moaning out my name in this thread. He's wrong. Believe him if you want, but he is still wrong.

That is what I stated from the earliest days.
