These anecdotal stories are great and all but if he’s so popular, why is he even losing by a bit let alone a lot?

Because he wasn't an announced candidate yet. The national GOP primary average has Trump at 53.9% Sure he's beating DeSantis by 30% but that is pre-announcement and with the non-Trump candidates also stealing votes. Now that DeSantis is officially a candidate I do think you will see his support start to rise.

Why do you care? You're not voting for Don or Ron.

Months ago Paul Ryan endorsed him. Why was Ron! silent when he was being lauded by the Paul Ryan's and Jeb's? He was basking in their piles of cash.

David Duke supported Trump. I guess that makes Trump a Duke disciple.

Unless you went to protest the election results for him. Then he'll let you rot in a Federal Prison.

How many individuals had actually been charged with a crime before the day Trump left office? I was under the impression that most cases were instituted subsequent to the new President having been sworn in. Meaning Trump wouldn’t have even had the ability to do anything along those lines anyway.

It's been bizarre watching your downward spiral into identity politics and hero worship over the last year, you've become an obsessed nutjob just like Jjbot

ETA - I'm also from Florida, everyone I know and surround myself with will 100% support Desantis in the primary and general. I know and work with law enforcement on all levels from podunk local departments to the top level of the feds, Desantis is very popular amongst Florida LEOs for his serious approach to combating crime

Nope I’m voting 3rd party if it’s DeSantis. I suspect many more just won’t vote if it’s DeSantis.

Unbelievable how retarded this country has gotten.

Even more:

quote:

Taxpayer-funded, state officials working for Governor Ron DeSantis have been soliciting presidential campaign donations from lobbyists who have business in front of the Governor’s office, according to the Republican lobbyists themselves.

“What the f— am I supposed to do?” one lobbyist told NBC, “I have a lot of business in front of the DeSantis administration.”

As a Floridian, I’m pissed that he’s running instead of doing the job we elected him to do. However, to say there’s no grassroots support of the man is hogwash. He’s the best governor we could have hoped for and has tremendous support. Thus, the anger that he’s bailing on us.

Trump supporter here.

The OP is clearly B.S.

The important question is whether Desantis is beating Trump in Florida. CLEARLY, it's the most friendly state to compete with Trump.

She was a QAnoner. Until she got embarrassed. She might get embarrassed of her support of Trump at some point in the future. But mental stability and an ability to evaluate the validity of ideas aren’t her strengths.
