How is the St Petersburg area? Or Tampa?

Purple area that leans blue. North and south of Tampa and St. Pete along the Gulf Coast remains conservative.

Panhandle is the most conservative area.

Destin Fl area?

Destin is a mix.

I live down here.

Your most ardent conservative areas are going to be Pace, Gulf Breeze, Navarre, all the way down toward PCB. Pensacola is he more liberal area. Even going to Spanish Fort will be mostly conservative. It's also an extremely low crime area with great schools. I own two homes in Gulf Breeze now.

Is the business dependent on the demographics of the area or is this just to have a presence in Florida?

Just presence. Doesnt need to be anywhere specific

Just want a more conservative area

We are looking at St Petes

Out of Brevard, Indian River, St Lucie and Martin where would you recommend for a single guy with grown children. I like fishing, good restaurants and a laid back conservative atmosphere?

But the beaches there are pretty unimpressive.

Anna Marie Island down to Siesta key is beautiful and very similar to NW Florida Beaches.

Thank you, with a recent lay-off I am looking to join two of former clients down there and starting a business. They are both on board now we just have to negotiate with their employer. So I could be moving relatively quickly.

Vero is beautiful but mostly old folks. Ft Pierce is redneck and cool, but not a ton of action. Jupiter is where it is all happening but I would buy property on the Martin county side rather than Palm Beach County. Hutchinson Island if you want a condo on the beach. Reasonable prices there. Stuart area just North of Jupiter is next to blow up.

From Martin County you can get to Ft. Laud in an hour and Miami in just a little more, so if you need crazy action you are close enough.

Panhandle is the place if you want to hang with baws at the beach though. The tourist they get there are all Southern.

West coast are folks who come down I-75 from the Great Lakes, so fairly conservative. Miami, Ft Lauderdale and WPB are liberals from the NE. Cocoa Beach and surrounding are lots of NASA engineer types. Jax is big city Southern and Jax beach is very cool. The NE folks drive right past these places on the East coast down to South Fla.

Melbourne is full of big govt contractors like Lockheed Martin, Collins, Northrop Grumman, L3Harris, etc. Others like Embraer, Avidyne and the new Supersonic Transport company. SpaceX, ULA up the road. All in Brevard County. Very pro-business.

Ft Meyers I haven’t spent a lot of time but parts are cool. Their barrier island is kind of lame.

I live in Vero and my family owns the hardware store here. Great place to live, terrible place to own a business.

This is true, spent a long weekend in AMI last July and it was great.

Only potential problem seemed to be density. Tons of small one-family homes packed close together, which is pretty cool and very old Florida, which I love, but it seems like it would be difficult (and expensive) to locate a business there that wasn’t tourism related.
