Lots of fees and rules if you’re not a big box or someone like Piper Aircraft. For example, in the depths of the recession in 1997, they charged me a “fee” of $13.21 per foot of retail space, made me buy $80,000 of wetland mitigation (they had to nullify the previous non-wetland certification first), pay to keep pepper trees off of a park 15 miles away for 5 years and pay for a turning lane on a road we’re not even on for “contributing to additional traffic.”

Gotcha. Sounds like a pain in the arse.

Out of Brevard, Indian River, St Lucie and Martin where would you recommend for a single guy with grown children. I like fishing, good restaurants and a laid back conservative atmosphere?
Sebastian in Indian River County. Immediate access to offshore fishing, funky town...old Florida.

Florida wants to be a tourist state.
Their regulations are a pain in the arse for business.
They ran a lot of good paying manufacturing jobs out of Florida because of that shite.
It's unfortunate they didn't regulate the new subdivisions the way they do a business.

We are looking at Ft Meyers area, Sarasota
VERY conservative areas. SO's mom and stepdad live in Venice and absolutely can't stand the Democrats. THIS IS YOUR CHOICE. Atlantic side is more liberal.
If you need to be in a larger area, Fort Myers or Sarasota/Venice. If smaller, Charlotte County is nice and quiet.

Panhandle and Jacksonville area. Jacksonville is the biggest city in the country with a Republican mayor.

I like like it all but imagine most there would be trolling for big fish in the Gulf Stream.
I would be setting up a distributorship so hopefully the business regulations won’t impact me much since it is mostly virtual except for some select stock.

Dan Bongino loves Martin County

so Jupiter area?
Jupiter is in Palm Beach County which is very blue (they gave the world the infamous Butterfly Ballot of 2000).
Next county up is Martin (Port St. Lucie, home of the Navy SEAL Museum). Hasn't supported a Dem since FDR in 1944.
And it's cheaper to fly into Fort Lauderdale than Miami.

Yeah, both in Brevard County. Proximity to the Orlando airport is nice and your 3+ hours from South Florida.
Great choice if your partners are OK with it. Space Coast is growing. (As an example, defense contractor Harris "merged" with the larger L3 out of NYC, first announcement was that the new corporate HQ for L3Harris would be -- Melbourne. My boss ended up getting a job down there.)

Fairly conservative too I think.
Yes. All area US Reps and state reps/senators are Republican.
