I'm against a statue of Kirk and well, and I believe he would be too. Nothing I've ever seen or heard from him would lead me to believe he would want one.

Well, there’s a 2.5 minute clip you can easily find on the internet wherein Kirk and his podcast bros bitch about the MLK holiday, demean the work and legacy of MLK, say the Civil Rights movement and subsequent legislation is bad for our country, all the while laughing about how he spends, “at least one hour every week” talking about what a “bad guy” MLK was. Kirk’s words, not mine. I do remember this kind of hammering on MLK before…. Oh, yeah, that guy almost became governor of Louisiana when I was in high school. He got 39% of the vote in this arse backwards state. Multiple things can be true about the same person. She’s not wrong. As an LSU student and prominent athlete representing our school, she has every right to speak against such an asinine suggestion by the “leader” of our state.

I don't agree with the statue not due to his messaging but simply having no ties to LSU. Like one student said, if he had ties to LSU they wouldn't have a problem with it. Hell Burrow and Daniels don't have a statue yet and they won a Heisman for LSU.

The slightest bit of research will tell you MLK was not a good person. I mean it’s extremely easy to find but like I said above, facts and logic evade all liberals. You just believe what people tell you to think.

He abused women, cheated on women, laughed at a friend’s rape of a women, etc. Is that someone who should have a national holiday? Nah, but people like you are too stupid and ignorant to do any bit of research.

It has been.

90% of the people who don't like Charlie, have never listened to his full speeches. But everyone has a right to their opinion. If you think he's horrible you have a right to think that, & if you think he's great you have a right to think that. Regardless if you think he's amazing or horrible, he gave a place for people to discuss things with different opinions. Even argue. People who disagreed used to sit down and talk and discuss their viewpoints. . Today, narratives and half truths are shoved down people's throat, depending on what you're told from your source of info. And it's given without discussion with intent to split the country in half. And from there it's just vitreal and blame and hate and screaming and threats and sadly, murder.
We need to bring back discussing our differences. There are many things that all Americans want.
