It's just a matter of time before the people in Louisiana look around, see the changes coming in their neighboring states and want better for themselves, like the people of Texas and now Mississippi have done. We see how close the senate election was in Louisiana. It's a prelude for things to come.......................

Mississippi was controlled by a D trifecta from Reconstruction to 1991.

Only with the first R trifecta did we see improvement. We've had massive improvements in education and the economy. Why would we want to turn back the clock?

Meanwhile California has the worst child poverty in the US, medieval diseases making a comeback, massive homeless camps, test scores in freefall, and can't even keep water in the fire hydrants. You want to be like them?

Rs gained control in 2011, and in 2013 wrote the bill and amended it in 2016 that flipped Mississippi from 50th in reading to 10th.

Bet they plummet back to last soon.

Meh. We had two terms of JBE before Landry. Four years of of GOPe (first term was tolerable) Jindal before that. Dr. RINO Cassidy for several years and Southern Democrat Royalty Mary Landrieu before him.

If there’s any state that knows how to switch from corrupt political party to corrupt political party and still continue on with (albeit, mostly shitty) business as usual it’s Louisiana.

There are 2 ways to look at yesterday. Dem voters in MS feel they now can win statewide elections. Rep voters who don’t always show up know they better start doing so. I will be interested to see the numbers for the LA governors election next year. Landry needs to run it up. Too much good going on to turn over.

Well on the bright side LSU football tickets will be cheaper due to all the democrats shooting each other at our tailgates.

Perfect example of Democrats and the media have persuaded people how great life would be with Dems in charge. I may be wrong but I think they are about to have an eye opening experience but it will be too late to go back. America will never be the same again.

Nothing is going to change the course of this country unless there's a major national crisis caused by political circus stupidity. I thought maybe covid would do it, but, looks like we'll have to wait for the inevitable infrastructure strain-induced collapse.
