I am not an expert on baton rouge and have only been there twice, but why do people from other parts of BR care so much whether st George leaves?

Good Together BR is a bullshite subset of a Chicago based organization with one goal in mind. Take your money and give it to someone else! Book it! You can keep your doctor!!!!!

St. George can't leave something it was never a part of. St. George is UNINCORPORATED, currently, so no one is leaving. WE are actually forming together our own city.

While 1st Methodist is just one church, they added a lot of "diversity." When an organization becomes incredible politically, it is appropriate for churches to pull out.

And you are completely correct. The catholic churches absolutely should withdraw.

St. George would take away a large part the tax base in baton rouge and would be 75% white . that tends to make people care.

come on man your smarter than that. You think people are going to sit back and watch a town the size of baton rouge split along racial lines and form a new town?

The unincorporated areas of EBR parish only pay parish taxes, not city taxes

But his congregation is definitely right leaning. He doesn't need the headache.

Together Baton Rouge should have stuck to gerrymandering taxing districts.

Half of the Methodist churches will be dropping from that organization after the LGBT vote in April.
