First Methodist Church of Baton Rouge Quits "Together Baton Rouge."

I am not an expert on baton rouge and have only been there twice, but why do people from other parts of BR care so much whether st George leaves?

Good Together BR is a bullshite subset of a Chicago based organization with one goal in mind. Take your money and give it to someone else! Book it! You can keep your doctor!!!!!

St. George can't leave something it was never a part of. St. George is UNINCORPORATED, currently, so no one is leaving. WE are actually forming together our own city.

While 1st Methodist is just one church, they added a lot of "diversity." When an organization becomes incredible politically, it is appropriate for churches to pull out.

And you are completely correct. The catholic churches absolutely should withdraw.

St. George would take away a large part the tax base in baton rouge and would be 75% white . that tends to make people care.
