First debate: Dems on edge

First semi critical article I’ve seen of Biden.

Live fact-checking Trump is a challenge for anyone, even when you're not on stage in a make-or-break debate for the presidency. There is a palpable fear among some Democrats about whether Biden is up for the challenge, and whether being too aggressive could backfire. They've cringed when Biden has given long-winded answers or trailed off without returning to his initial thought, and when he's gone off message or said the wrong name or city.
quote:
During a Democratic primary debate last year, for example, Biden was asked about how to help fix the legacy of slavery and he ended up veering off into an answer about record players. Biden in recent weeks has spoken frequently from a teleprompter on the campaign trail. The Trump campaign has hammered their rival for not doing interviews with the press, saying he will falter in the face of aggressive questions and that it is a sign he's not ready for the presidency. "Joe Biden's challenges with his style are well known," said Democratic strategist Joel Payne, who served as the director of African American paid media for Hillary Clinton's 2016 campaign. "Obviously his team will be working with him to prevent gaffes or missteps.
quote:
Even those closest to Biden acknowledge that it takes him awhile to get warmed up and the early statements are never his best. "He has a tendency to wrap up very well but he's one of those people who takes some time to get there," said one close Biden ally. "He's just not a guy who performs well in those initial moments. I think that's something that makes us all a little nervous."

If we can just do it right, we’ll get him for sure!!!!

The media has to interfere.
They cannot leave Biden out there on his own against Trump.

Shouldn't be that hard when you make stuff up to fit your narrative... They should not be worried about fact checking Trump as much as Joe talking about pelletizing manure when asked about health care...

yet, we expect him to be able to go toe to toe with other world leaders. What am i saying, he isn't going to challenge anyone on the world stage

The Dems have been working behind the scenes for months. Biden will know the questions before the debate, he will be pandered to, during the debate. The moderators have been training for weeks on how to make him look good and how to make Trump look bad. The Dems give effort, you have to give it to them.

This has gotten to be comical. The idea that we're suddenly pretending that politicians...ANY politicians...are standing up there telling everyone the truth at all times is hilarious. You'd swear every presidential nominee before Trump from the beginning of the country was ultimately virtuous and now suddenly you've got a guy that lies about literally everything and MUST BE FACT CHECKED!!!!
As with most claims, none of it needs to be true, it just needs to be repeated often enough to become true. See: Trump is a racist.

If there are debates, they will mirror nearly every debate with a leftist...with the media doing Biden's part. Scream, scream, scream, interrupt and attempt to drown out any points made by Trump for "fact checks" or "tone" or whatever stupid excuse they think they can sell. Then when Trump cracks back, they will scold him for not taking things seriously or being mean spirited.
This election is pretty much Trump versus the media and those who hold their leash.

Last night a lady asked him about overregulation and he literally started yammering something about chicken shite. The look on the lady’s face was priceless. I was laughing my arse off.

Meaning the act of providing editorial opinion different than that of Trump, in real time.

That was incredible. Potato farmer asks about how farmers will be able to handle more regulations, Joe says to sell chicken shite.
Unbelievable. Not only is his assertion about methane 100% wrong, every farmer is shaking their head at the thought this bumbling idiot knows one iota about ag or ag policy

Biden is weak, frail, and obviously not in possession of all of his mental faculties. Trump needs to ask the question to voters “can you really see this man as the leader of the free world and able to interact and negotiate with other heads of state and foreign powers?” The thought of having someone who seemingly is in the early stages of dementia with his finger on “that” red button should terrify every American citizen, regardless of how you feel about his politics.

good thing with Biden is that even though he will know the questions before the debate he will forget them before he gets up on stage
Then he will look dumb as shite when he starts on a pre planned statement, forgets it halfway through then rambles on and goes "you know what i mean"
God when he hits up a "you know what i mean" or "look at the stats" i hope Trump goes "No Joe i dont know what you mean please go into detail"

It was the agrarian equivalent of his “learn to code” moment with the miners.
Joe would be completely out of touch with reality if he were actually even lucid.

Not to mention the fact that he said his policy would be to pay farmers government money to grow what the government tells you.

They should be very concerned.
They won't be able to walk Joe through with his teleprompter/response board.
