The board of directors of Project Veritas on Wednesday placed its founder and chairman, James O’Keefe, on paid leave as it reportedly moves to oust him from his leadership position.

The organization’s executive director informed employees of the news via an internal message that said O’Keefe would be taking “a few weeks of well-deserved PTO,” according to NY Mag’s Intelligencer.

Widespread reports of a hostile takeover point to a more insidious long game at play, with the move coming after two bombshell undercover video reports from Project Veritas that showed a Pfizer research scientist discussing the company’s gain-of-function work to maximize vaccine profits.

Matt Tyrmand is the guy that organized a six-hour confrontation session against Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe in an attempt to get rid of him. The motivations behind this internal coup d'etate are suspect.

Sounds like Tyrmand and Garvey need to be the victims of a hostile takeover by someone with enough money to shut them out. If only there was someone with tons of money, tons of courage and experience in shutting down board members who shill against honest and open free speech...

Board infiltration by lefties is something the Right needs to do better on vetting. One thing we are still weeding out are the lefties that disguised themselves as conservatives to grift and earn a living. There are now plenty of social history to really confirm and study people and if they are legit AF conservatives.

We just need more if them with money that don't want to have to put people in place as a part of giving money. We need money that is legit AF conservatives that just say "I give you money based on you doing xyz, chance that to appease someone else and I'm out."

So do non-profits have to have a board by law?

If you started the whole thing why in the hell would you have a “board” that could kick you out. I dont really understand. Noone would know who project veritas was without him. He would have had to known that the board members were gonna get bought out.

Imo.. they kick o'Keefe out, and then start targeting anti-establishment entities. The donations won't go away, a few rich leftists will donate.

O'Keefe tries to start over, but will be met with wave after wave of gov informants within the new employee pool. And the gov itself will put up countless roadblocks.

When you need venture capital to grow your business you seek venture capitalists. In return for investment money to grow your business the investors normally get/require a seat at the table to influence the direction of the business. That seat is normally structured in the corporate world as a board seat.

It seems like whatever it is will involve musical theater?

quote:

In the memo, employees also brought up the use of Project Veritas money to boost O’Keefe’s own theatrical interests. In December, Project Veritas said it provided a prohibited $20,500 in “excess benefits” to O’Keefe last year to pay for staff to accompany him to Virginia when he starred in a 2021 production of “Oklahoma!”

And

In February last year, Rolling Stone’s Laura Jedeed attended O’Keefe’s American Muckrake book launch party that included a 50-minute musical-theater production dedicated to telling O’Keefe’s story in song, dance, and strobe light.

Glen Greenwald started the Intercept himself and the board/editors forced him out for running stories on Hunter laptop/Biden's ties to China in 2020.
