Correct. I think there will be immunity and it's limited like it's limited elsewhere (to official acts within the authority/duties only). So the trial court will have to have a hearing/trial on this specific issue.
You’re right, don’t understand the 18 downvotes here.
It also means more appeals after the Judge makes a decision so the trial gets pushed back further.

That’s pathetic. You downvote the post not the person.
Sensitive bunch on this board.

I'm sure that a constitutional argument could be made that New York changed their statute of limitations law only briefly to target Trump specifically.

I don’t think they would erect fences for that. I think they are expecting a leftist revolt over the weekend for whatever they are releasing.
Which means it will probably be a Friday release so DC can clear before the paid agitators get organized.
Edit: sounds fake.

The last people to storm government buildings weren’t democrats.
J6 was in 2020, right?
The DIMS stopped rowing and had to start wading in 2022, amirite?

No, it was in 2021.

I’d personally prefer they shoot anyone trying to burn those buildings down instead of using fencing.
Thats exactly why people storm buildings….unless you’re unarmed and your name is Ashli Babbitt

That was a NYC civil case. I don't see how this applies to SCOTUS and Trump.
The State Courts filter up to the USSC when it goes from a State Supreme Court.

the SCOTUSblog calendar says Thursday & Friday are both opinion release days
all the opinions from last year's cases have to be released by the end of the month... it's getting late enough to where they have to start releasing the more "controversial" opinions
and yes... this year's controversial opinions include the Trump cases and the case that could see the end of Chevron deference
