Didnt see a thread on here about it. Shocking

quote:

The August personal consumption expenditures price index, the Fed’s main inflation gauge, saw an increase of 3.4% on headline and 3% for core, both well below estimates.

I guess that fed hike is cooling the inflation
Where is that clown ronsuxdix?

3% inflation is still not ideal.

There will never be inflation at 1% or less even with 15% interest rates without significantly reducing the debt

We averaged 6.5% per year under Biden.

And I wouldn't trust government numbers that lag behind. Inflation right now is 2.5%.

And that still wouldn't be good enough for the fed. But people are just retarded if they think we have gotten anywhere close to the highs under Biden which reached 9%.

Some clowns here prefer immediate deflation then would cry about that too when it affects everything else.

A certain POTUS demanded that the Feds slash rates.

Well, the bls also only collects the owners rent equivalent twice annually. So, you are always getting lagging housing data from the government.

Core GDP also moved from 2.7 to 3.9 in the second quarter.

Some just cant admit the roadmap Trump put in place is starting to increase at an increasing rate.

Now some fckhead on here will scream about diesel while not owning a car, and talk about how it affects everything in the economy....while living with his parents

What

Measure

???

The 2% inflation target was literally pulled out of the air in the 1990's when our nat'l debt was ~1/10th present levels.

Meanwhile, what rigid number is assigned to unemployment +/- NILF rate?

I was about to post the same question. I’m not sure how much lower it’s going to get with the debt and deficit spending. Is 2% “perfect,” but 3% unacceptable?

This metric should be collected 0 times a year, it's one of the worst approximations existing in current economic data.

Nominal credit card debt is historically high. So are earnings, GDP, median income, manufacturing, etc.

CC debt vs income is ~90% of record highs. CNN made you its patsy.
