I would still bitch if gas was inflated—no matter the price— if the inflation was solely the result of a poorly planned, poorly executed war that no one wanted and that accomplished nothing meaningful.

It’s all just pretend. We humans have really created some elaborate systems of make believe to make ourselves feel important and superior to our fellow men.
If I wanted to make you laugh (or scream?), I’d start discussing the oppressive nature of our monetary system.
I’ve only ever taken one Econ class and it was a winter or summer intersession class so super abbreviated and expedited but I do remember quite a bit 20 years later. The professor said our economy “needs” inflation to encourage people to spend money instead of saving it.
