The 2% inflation target was literally pulled out of the air in the 1990's when our nat'l debt was ~1/10th present levels.
Or does it fluctuate dependent on government spending? The idea of inflating our way out of debt seems hostile to the average American.

So because people go to steakhouses and baseball games that means no one is struggling with the cost of living? I’ve never understood that argument.

Did anyone say that or are you always a retard
Just because you are poor and struggling doesnt mean everyone is
And since the beginning of time there has been people struggling with the cost of living

Exactly. So what point are you trying to make?

SDV seems tons of people wearing Charlie Kirk shirts while dining at steakhouses. Everything is right with the world. Until he learns a democrat stole another election somewhere.

The problem is the Fed is like a doctor with but one tool ... a hammer.
You come to the doctor with a bad headache. He asks you to remove your right shoe. Then he whacks your big toe with the hammer. As you are hopping around, holding your foot, howling in pain, he asks "How's your headache now?"
WTF is the Fed raising rates going to do, if the cause of inflation is Iranian oil disruption?

I guess that fed hike is cooling the inflation
A certain POTUS demanded that the Feds slash rates.
And that's why he's not the Fed chair.

What effect do you suppose a CUT of 0.25% in the Fed lending rate would have on OIL prices?

9% excluding energy and food.
What do all households purchase? Certainly energy and food. Every frickin day.
The Biden economy and numbers were horrible and covered up by all media to the detriment of the country. The media openly roots for the demorats and are 100% enemies of America.
