This was an incredibly surprising result for those of us who follow things in SE WI.
The judge who upheld in Judge Lynn Adelman. Been around forever and is one of the most lefty judges in WI. When assigned we all assumed the fix was in and Duggan would eventually get off with a slap on the wrist
I can’t stress enough how blatant Duggan was considering Adelman couldn’t find a way to justify giving her a pass

This is great and sad at the same time. Great because justice was served, sad because we're cheering so much because it doesn't happen as often as it should.

She will be pardoned, but not for 2 years at the soonest thank god

What? She wasn’t allowed to break the law because of her position and privilege?
I thought this was America???

read this article yesterday about a recreation of the Milgram experiment (when participants were instructed to deliver electroshocks to actors at increasing voltages) that made me sad about the lack of conviction people demonstrated. Its kind of uplifting to see someone actually stick to their guns.
Consider that perhaps the illegal uninvited guests you insist on imposing upon the nation are, in fact, the electric shocks, and the innocent taxpayers are the pitiful subjects in the experiment.
Now don’t you feel like the sadist.

And would you be talking about the Judge that Upheld the conviction or the stupid Bitch that made a political stunt, got caught and now is a convicted felon

"The judge resigned after this incident… could we draw any parallels?"
The only reason she resigned was because she had been caught red-handed and knew, likely because of a consulting lawyer, that she was cooked. She was hoping to get a slap on the wrist, walk away scot free, tell all of her socialist consorts that she had helped an undocumented escape, and then come back in a few months to occupy her job once again. To believe that she did anything honorable is delusional.

Her job isn’t to stick to her guns. It’s to uphold the law of the American people.

She wasn’t charged with not doing her job, and she resigned from that job anyway so that has no bearing on anything.

So judicial ethics be damned? or just ignored when it is convenient?
She was arrested for her actions and was convicted.

she has to be an example of being violating the "impartial" status of a Judge and the Laws they are to protect. and also needs to be an example of "no one is above the law" wen they obstruct.
otherwise we will see more of her actions....
i can bet that other judges are following this closely, and wont do the same if the risk having the same fate as this judge

She’s no longer a judge and is a first-time, nonviolent offender.
...and also deserves and needs a significant sentence.
