If tweet fails to load, click here. The judge ordered the administration to cancel further airings of its ads promoting the President's agenda.
The government says it has spent $19 million on them so far.
Think about that. One unelected judge decided the President of the United States can't tell voters what his administration is doing.
President Trump called the ads "rather standard," and he's right. Every administration promotes its agenda.
Fake News CNN is acting like this is a victory for democracy.
These are the same people who spent four years running free PR for Joe Biden every single night.
They don't want the ads gone because of the money. They want them gone because they can't control the message anymore.
Judges don't get to decide who the President talks to. This ruling won't stand.

He can run 30 ads a day using his PAC money.

What tickles me is the CNN reporter using the Gallop poll to allude to corruption in government while discussing these ads…

Oh, the corruption in government she says.
Posted on 10/13/26 at 6:33 am to Placekicker
Which DC O'Biden appointee was it?
Also pretty sure Trump has already said his PAC would pay for it.

Absolutely no way it is as simple as he needs to pay for the ads himself using his PAC. That makes too much sense.
What would be the point of this outrage thread then…?

How can a judge prevent the POTUS from providing a public service message?

You’re new.

Yes, the Obama administration spent taxpayer money on public relations and advertising campaigns, totaling at least $4.4 billion from 2009 to 2013. However, this spending was often criticized as being aimed at enhancing the government's public image rather than direct campaign ads.

Per that chart she showed regarding public perception of government corruption, I told y'all that Trump's unprecedented boldness in corruption and completely shameless grifting was going to be a problem this time around.
Those people didn't answer the poll that way because of t.v. commercials.
I get that the way poll questions are worded can result in any answer you want and I also get that the media is driving the narrative, but that's the point. It has given them a narrative to drive and the narrative will likely stick, because it's true.

My post, to which you replied to,
Spelled it out already…
Campaign messages are to be campaign funded….

The right needs to learn how the left does it, which is to funnel taxpayer money to nonprofits and NGOs who then spend the money on left wing propaganda with zero oversight. Nary a judge anywhere appears to have a problem with this approach.

I misread the thread title and thought the judge didn’t want the admin promoting the judge’s agenda.

What office is Trump running for?

Looks like a federal judge is violating Trump's 1st amendment rights.

If you only look at the thread title I can see how you would think that, but like so many thread titles on this board, it's (intentionally, I think) misleading.
The judge just ordered Trump to stop using TAXPAYER money to run his ads. He can run all of the ads he wants that he pays for himself.
I don't know what the standard for the budget for running taxpayer funded ads is (it should be zero) or whether the judge is being discriminatory in this order compared to other POTUSes, but it's an important distinction nonetheless.

It was not a campaign message. POTUS Trump is not running for office. POTUS Trump CANNOT be prevented from running "feel good" Public Service messages or announcements.

It just happens to coincide with a midterm election cycle where the President has asked voters to pretend he's on the ballot. But that's just a coincidence. This is NOT a campaign message!
