Depends on the building. The building he chose might have had easier roof access (like a gate he could hop over instead of a locked hatch).

I'm having a hard time imagining it'd be that easy. Lawyers now a days? The increase in insurance premiums because of the high risk of allowing drunk 20 year olds on 3-4 story roof tops with no real barrier?
