A personnel surge supporting Kash Patel’s “priority effort” is underway, with intelligence experts tasked with running tens of thousands of records checks by mid-July.

I could save them millions in salary and resource expenses. I have it on good authority from a local expert lawyer that there is not a frickin thing to see, just move on already.

I’m thinking Trump, stubborn man that he is, will declare a national emergency due to foreign interference in our elections, and therefore guarantee all sorts of judicial protest. Why do all that when governor slo says there is absolutely no evidence to support this witch hunt?

quote:

The FBI is surging resources into what it calls a “priority” investigation related to the 2020 election in Georgia, according to two U.S. officials familiar with the matter, in an extraordinary effort by the nation’s most prominent law enforcement agency to find evidence supporting President Donald Trump’s darkest election fraud conspiracy theories.

Documents obtained by MS NOW — which the two officials, speaking on condition of anonymity to share internal matters, said were related to the Georgia election investigation — show that FBI leadership is authorizing intelligence analysts to work overtime, including weekends and holidays, on the case. And they show that FBI Director Kash Patel is ordering personnel from all field offices to participate.

“In support of the Director’s Office priority effort, the Directorate of Intelligence (DI) and Criminal Division are requesting all FBI field offices to immediately surge support to an FBI Atlanta priority investigation,” said an unclassified memo issued Wednesday.

The FBI declined to comment to MS NOW.

The memo went on to detail the number of personnel each field office must contribute, depending on its size, for a total of 260 FBI intelligence officials. The guidance did not include numbers for FBI agents, dozens of whom are also working on the investigation.

Each intelligence analyst would be expected to conduct a total of 708 records checks by July 17, the memo said.

“Overtime (including weekends and holidays) has been authorized,” it added.

Asked what analysts would be looking for, one of the officials said, “Looking for derogatory information is the short answer. The idea is to build a case. Look at associations between people, look into their social media, their business activity, travel, contact with other investigative subjects.”

In January, the FBI executed a search warrant and seized more than 600 boxes of records relating to the 2020 election from storage in Fulton County, including physical ballots, ballot images, voter rolls and tabulation materials. When the basis for the search warrant was unsealed, it became clear that it relied largely on claims that had previously been debunked, including by Republican-led investigations in Georgia.

This is a waste of time really. But we love our feel good stories that don't come to anything, don't we?

Only 6 short years ago that people would rage if you suggested we were looking at a coup d’état.

Considering the complete lack or transparency, it is interesting that an "expert lawyer" would claim to know.

I will admit it’s the damdest thing, but he has networks that we know nothing of, and an IQ that god envies. But to your point, mere mortals would not be privy to what hundreds of FBI lawyers are doing, so we can only speculate that cheaters cheat.

Why would she need to ask him to do what’s been his morning coffee for years?

On no. We're shaking in our boots.

The empty threat before was Bernie Sanders.

Keep voting for idiot leftists. In the meantime, we are fighting back and will hopefully continue to do so.

So do election officials, who have very serious concerns about numerous things that went down here in Nov 2020. But if the FBI actually looks at it, and finds things were as the lawyer claims, so be it. At least we'd have a more complete picture than we do now.

Behavior on the ground in this instance reeks of guilt and cover up. That proves nothing though. It's only an appearance.

Well that's the thing.

The Democrats already did this with the Mueller investigation. Same thing. A giant fishing expedition without due process.

I didn't like it then and I don't like it now, but this will not set a precedent, it will follow one.

Due what?? We have video of them pulling ballots out and scanning them over and over after sending poll watchers home.

We have tons of evidence already for more than probable cause.

Hopefully there is some direct-credible and objective evidence finally to judge.

I almost posted this preemptively because I knew someone here would say it.

If you have video of someone committing election fraud, then you may have due process to intensively and invasively investigate the person in the video.

Due process does not mean that you're sure someone, somewhere committed a crime, so you can now invasively investigate anyone and everyone you feel like in case they happen to be the one who did it regardless of whether they—as an individual—have done something to invoke probable cause.

Some things are fair game without probable cause, of course, but given the description of this investigation I'll bet not everything they are planning on doing is.

Again, the Mueller investigation was the same way.

Yeah that is what scares me, what will the dems do if they get back in power?

Would they be crazy enough to use chini as a proxy and release a virus and kill millions of people worldwide to ensure they win an election...........

Why is it a waste of time?

Also, do you think Biden got 81 million votes?
