How so?

Houck allegedly commits an assault. He is indicted. A warrant is issued. He is arrested.

Why do you find this funny? These are volunteers (usually retired), who walk out to the patient’s car and escort her through the gauntlet of protesters waiting to yammer at her.

It's deemed a federal crime to use force with intent to injure, intimidate or interfere with someone providing reproductive health care.
This "volunteer", who by some accounts was giving far more "yammering" than he was receiving, was not in any way shape or form "providing reproductive health care." The DOJ is attempting to bring Houck up on charges which carry a 14yr sentence, 11 behind bars for supposedly shoving a dude twice. That is absurd.

FWIW, Houck has protested outside that facility for years. No incidents. Then suddenly he decides to physically assault one single dude ... twice? That smells about like the shithouse door on a tuna boat.

Accounts are that the "volunteer" got in the face of Houck's 12y/o son and did not heed warnings to leave the kid alone. I'd bet BIG money your "volunteer" is nothing but a professional agitator, and I'd further bet the DOJ scumbags damn well know it.

and BTW, I'm no fan of people hanging out "protesting" around legally operated facilities. But I'll take that any day over a birddogging agitator attempting to set a target up for a concocted jail sentence.

Houck allegedly said this to his wife, and she repeated it to the press.

Perfect example of a Democratic DOJ targeting people instead of investigating a crime.

…On several occasions when Mark went to sidewalk counsel last year, he took his eldest son, who was only 12 at the time, she explained. For “weeks and weeks,” a “pro-abortion protester” would speak to the boy saying “crude … inappropriate and disgusting things,” such as “you’re dad’s a fig,” and other statements that were too vulgar for her to convey.

Repeatedly, Mark would tell this pro-abortion man that he did not have permission to speak to his son and please refrain from doing so. And “he kept doing it and kind of came into [the son’s] personal space” obscenely ridiculing his father. At this point, “Mark shoved him away from his child, and the guy fell back.”

“He didn’t have any injuries or anything, but he tried to sue Mark,” and the case was thrown out of court in the early summer.
Does that sound like a simple "volunteer" to you?

Tell what?
Tell us the DOJ is working in concert with professional agitators to set up victims for criminal charges? If that is established, will anyone face disbarment? Legal discipline or any sort? or will time tell us once again that the US system of 'justice' is corrupt to the core?

Ya think? That's what happens when you make the DOJ your personal goon squad. Joe (or whoever's running things) learned a lot from Black Jesus.

The fact that such agitators exist isn't nearly as troubling as a DOJ who'll jump at the chance to play their game just so they can punish political opposition. This is a bad road we're going down.

Well said. I agree with this. The indictment smells of a set up.

An innocent old man escort that dindunuffin.
https://s3.documentcloud.org/documents/22924312/houck-indictment.pdf

I also agree with you on the protesting part. I don't see what good it does. The man isn't going to stop anyone from having an abortion. So why bother? They usually say rosaries and would have no reason to assault the escort.

There are 2 sides to every story & the truth is usually somewhere in the middle.

A better use of his time would be opening halfway houses for pregnant/abused women. But who am I to judge?

I'm not sure I'll care much if an FBI agent gets some severe consequences for his actions at this point. I'm not sure I'm not rooting for it a little bit.

No, it sounds like either Houck or wifey is exaggerating, if not outright fabricating.

No one is treating a 12yo like that.

Yep. Very bad road.
The Gretchen Whitmer set up.
J6 instigations.
The Loudoun VA Scott Smith travesty.

This has the identical look and feel of other episodes.

It's also disturbing that we have supposed legal-types on this board who think it's cute or cool turning a blind-eye to FBI/DOJ scumbags.

One has to be an arrogant SOB to think they know more about what happened than someone who was there.

Your peeps are taking their kids to drag shows. They are injecting kids with puberty blockers. They are removing the breasts of teenage girls. They are putting X rated books in schools. They will run over a teenager and kill him and then act as if they shouldn't even be charged. There is nothing under the sun that these demons are not capable of.

The DOJ didn’t create the law making assault outside the clinic illegal. You know this

But DOJ decides which laws to enforce, when and with whom. And it’s clear it now does so with strong political motivations.
