Stay-at-home orders intended to curb the spread of the coronavirus could end up causing “irreparable damage” if imposed for too long, White House health advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci told CNBC on Friday.

“I don’t want people to think that any of us feel that staying locked down for a prolonged period of time is the way to go,” Fauci said during an interview with CNBC’s Meg Tirrell on “Halftime Report.”

He said the U.S. had to institute severe measures because Covid-19 cases were exploding then. “But now is the time, depending upon where you are and what your situation is, to begin to seriously look at reopening the economy, reopening the country to try to get back to some degree of normal.”

I think everyone agrees with this, the debate has simply been over how long that will take.

And I don’t have the answer by any means

The shotgun approach.

You will eventually hit the correct target and claim that you were right.

That you can't easily see the damage we've done or the danger we're in says it all. Leave this to those that can.

I have a hard time imaging a person who believes that at no point anywhere down the line, no matter how distantly into the future, will the economic devastation be worse than the worse case virus scenario.

That’s simply not a thought process that a conscious human brain can cohesively maintain beyond the most fleeting of moments.

I would have thought the same thing...…..then, I watched liberals during this coronavirus Repeatedly say shite like, "we can't open up TILL WE HAVE A CURE!"

I mean, it isn't MY fault that MANY MANY MANY liberals have literally said what you think a human would never think.

I guess I just don’t believe they ACTUALLY believe that

I have to believe it’s a facade to attempt to hurt Trump and win in November

Shortsightedness is a side effect of liberalism. It never fails.
