Its the same as the Comey situation. Dems have every reason to loathe Jim Comey. He's burned them so many times, yet even as he has become radioactive and is no longer of use to them, they still defend him because they reflexively suck-off literally anything that they perceive as anti-Trump.
The practical thing for democrats to do with people like Fauci, Comey, Hunter Biden, etc. is to distance themselves... pretend they were duped too. They could show the people that they are not accomplices in the rot everyone acknowledges is sinking our government.
But dems are arrogant, emotional animals with zero impulse control.

The only thing Trump did wrong was listening to any of these people at. He should have shut the borders down when covid first broke out and then did literally nothing else. Unfortunately he listened to the bad advice coming from the "experts" like Fauci who weren't actually interested in the health and well-being of the American citizens.

ignore them. During the entire affair, they complained that Trump didnt do enough. They deified Fauci for wanting to push things further. Now, they want to pretend that Trump should have done less.
Same with the vaccine. When it landed under Trump, they acted like it was a lethal injection. Once Biden got in, they tried to force all Americans to take it.
