Rand essentially said this morning it is in the hands of the DOJ.

Will the democrats even show up?

His lawyers are going to argue that the scope of the pardon does not extend to state crimes which is why his pleading the 5th is not contempt.

DeSantis cited SOLs, bottom line...

Does crimes against humanity have SOLs? Can a President pardon crimes against humanity?

Peters speaking now, he will defend Fauci.

Trump will be impeached again before anything happens to Fauci.

So nothing will happen and Trump will cry about it, forgetting he is the head of the DOJ

I don't understand why the Democrats are going all-in on defending Fauci. Anyone looking at this objectively, can acknowledge he covered up and ,mislead the American public. Why are they so invested in defending this guy?

I was just wondering the same thing. They defend Fauci saying its a witch hunt he dindunuffin.

Then why did Fauci get a pardon?

Faucis diaries alone are indefensible.

Dems just tried to suspend. Fetterman votes to suspend. Also Dems have staff voting via proxy. Vote fails 8-5.

FL looks to be moving ahead on charges for him so don’t be surprised when the most conservative state actually acts.

TX has been a bust with Abbott so don’t count on any help from that idiot

Why didn’t they have the cell phone records for last weeks hearing? Kennedy has been in charge for over a year. It just reeks of stupid timing.

Blumenthal just said Fauci had reasonable fear, why does a guy who did nothing wrong and has a pardon have any fear at all?

His lawyers will be wrong because:

1) he made a statement after he was placed under oath, thereby waiving privilege as to any areas expressly or implicitly touched on in his statement

and

2) he made a blanket claim of privilege refusing to answer questions that clearly did not implicate the privilege and that's not how what works.
