However, it will be very interesting to hear on the Q1 call, how they changed the guidance for Q2
Very true, going to show their hands here… would love to be a fly on the wall and hear the convos about what to do with that crazy eyed VP of marketing.
She will get packaged out.

Fact checkers just want to make post show up as false .
This tactic was pioneered by the Snopes crazy cat lady. Once she started dipping into politics if there was a claim she didn't like she'd take the most extreme example of the claim so she could say that it was mostly untrue.

With this situation, it seems, behind the scenes machinations are meaningless.
THEY made this a public issue and are publicly making it worse by the day. The only way out will have to be very public - if there is one.
I think they also exposed the chink in the armor of ESG and everything people like that VP of marketing were brought in and brought up to do at basically every big corporation, and therein lies the real panic here.
The whole situation is delicious to me.

Seems like this is getting worse for Anheuser-Bush.

5% isn't a major hit.
If it went down 20% people who only care about money and DGAF about trannies and social issues would buy it right back up.
5% based oof reports from the ground and not actual financial reports, is a pretty big enough chunk to cause a way bigger drop of the next financial reports confirm the drops.
Though people like you will say it's not that big of deal knowing April won't be fully represented just yet. The QTR timing will definitely helps them spin it right.

frick Anheuser Busch, I hope the go bankrupt. Businesses need to stay out of politics and man made social constructs. Why alienate the majority of your customers to placate a small minority?

I can’t imagine what the local distributor network must be saying about this shite.

It’s more than that. The market cap went from 129B on Mon to $110 Wed.., as of yest it is $112B.

Would really be interesting to know how college finance/economics classes are teaching how ESG scores determine a companies value, as that seems to matter more than actual #s.
There really should be a law that makes sure stock prices aren't manipulated by the blackrocks who are pushing some subjective ESG score to manipulate stock prices. Crazy times.

You’re really not going to know the impact until 2Q earnings are published. Trying to attribute the stock fluctuation at this point is just guessing.

People who are trying to act like 5% hit at this point isn't a big deal.

If I panicked every time one of my stocks took a dollar hit I would never draw a sober breath. We'll see where it stands ohhh, this time next year. It was stupid but beer drinkers have short memories.

Simple reasoning says that if you are not selling millions of your product that you were selling 2 weeks ago, it is affecting your supply chain. I don't care how big you are, they were either under producing or the cans are backing up somewhere.
I hope other smaller companies see the risks of tranny pandering.

Well, I don't drink a lot of beer, but AB has lost me as a customer for life. Wife too. She drinks more than I do, but not a lot. I hope they go down to the point of a total recant/repent. Their workers are not Woke.

This is similar to the Megan Rispone dude when Subway brought her on for endorsements
Franchisees lost their minds as customers walked away. Did they really recover from that? I note they now have Mahomes and Steph Curry as their primary people today. Guess they learned their lesson
