This is a generalized finding of social media I am sure.

I only lurk on my FB and IG accounts, but I can 100% confirm that (even though they're both Meta) the algorithms are completely different.
Instagram mostly shows me content related to other things of which I've actually shown interest in some way or another. It makes suggestions based upon my "likes" and follows.
Facebook is just straight-up overt in their unabashed promotion of a psycho-communist agenda. What comes through in my feed might as well be BlueSku or DU.
Maybe that's truly anecdotal to me, but it's there and I see it daily. And when I "unfollow" entities, they often still manage to remain both in my "follows" and in my feed. I sometimes have to "unfollow" multiple times before it actually works. That's true on both IG and FB, FWIW.
