Energy commodity economics seems to be a bridge too far for many here.

You could just state your position instead of being oblique.

Almost as bad as the principles of someone living with TDS.

Step 1. Overanalyze every decision Trump makes and find a negative angle.
Step 2. Claim he was defeated at every turn.
Step 3. On to the next topic when Trump ultimately turns out victorious.

I see we are in Step 2 currently with Iran, inching towards Step 3.

That is on the speculators. You can also Thank Joe Biden for allowing Petrodollar to go away and replace it with BRICS.

The US has enough of its own oil to be self sufficient. Nearly 80% of our oil imports are from Canada, Mexico, and Saudia. So yes, by him backing away from the Straits issue, he is putting the EU on notice and they are about to find out.

This is justification for making Iran not exist as it does today. Can’t let nutbags Muslims control major trade routes.

So are we back on the regime change train now or not?

A true "regime change" would be nice, but not likely, but maybe also not necessary either.

So we started it , but since it’s not going our way (which is contradictory to what most on this board have been saying) it’s everyone else’s problem?

Bigger problem for other economies

Remind me why we hate everyone, and why this makes it better somehow?

It would have been funnier if you’d spelled “Strait” correctly.

So let me get this straight.

We went to war and the result is the same regime, skyrocketed the price of oil, a closed down strait of Hormuz, used up a ton of missiles, and *may* have hurt their nuclear weapons program.

I say may because 6 months ago it was definitely demolished but now it was weeks away.

I think calling a half dead regime the "same regime" is a stretch. They will never be the same after what T-daddy did to them.

Same goes for what he did to libs

Nah, Iran created the problem. Their direct actions are the root cause.

We aren't blocking the straight.
