We have gotten considerably dumber since it’s inception.

4th graders cannot read and write anymore

Some lucky elemntary students in some states get to learn about men fricking each other as an intro to grooming

We are falling behind every other country annually

It is a government program. Name one government program in the last 60+ years that has produced improvement or successful results.

Agriculture? Incredibly corrupt and is literally poisoning our population. Needs complete overhaul. Massive failure.

Defense technology? We’re behind our enemies. Elon is about to show you how wasteful and corrupt that industry is. Massive failure.

Pharmaceuticals. Do I even need to say anything? Massive failure.

Insurance. Welfare. Auto industry has tanked and was the crown jewel of the world since it’s inception. Massive failures.

Now do Education.

Everything the government touches goes to shite.

First explain to me how the DOE’s entire existence improved our education system nationwide and globally?

Have you seen the charter "schools" that have popped up to cash in on school vouchers. Just a scam to babysit kids and collect profit. Sure, people that know better may be able use legit schools.... but those kids grow up and vote.

We HAVE to have an educated population for our government to work.

That didn't come across correctly, I was trying to imply that it will not have any impact on their learning. I am good with tearing the whole thing down,

That has badly hurt white education. Black educational problems go deeper.

There is truth in this, but you have to be careful how you say it. Vivek got canceled for saying this exact thing, just more awkwardly.

Explain how the DOE has ever helped children's learning

It wasn't created to help. It was created so they could have some control over every school. They wanted to make us dumb, not smart. Harder to control if we aren't dumb and uneducated.

It is all be design!

The DOE only exists to help itself. It’s billions in waste every year and takes money that could more effectively be used in local communities. The closer the money is to the people the better.

Because under the DOE, schools were forced to focus an inordinate amount of their time teachings useless subject matter under the threat of being cut off from federal monies. Now schools will be able to go back to the basics of education.

When states have control of the curriculum of their public schools, it eliminates teachers trying to teach elementary school kids how to give gay blowjobs and anal sex to the same sex.

The federal govt provides ZERO benefit to my kids learning. If it gets zapped tomorrow nobody would notice.

If bama football was ranked 16th in the SEC what would you do? Now what if Bama football was in last place since 1970 but the money poured into it increased by 1700% over that time?

Clearly, the EXISTENCE of the DOE Has not helped the Education of our children. In fact, since it’s inception in 1979, I believe, scores continue to find a new bottom. Year after year. How about you take a shot at providing evidence why it shouldn‘t be disbanded?

That claim legit was debunked. A simple google search would’ve assisted. We’ve never been number one in any testing metrics, even before the DOE. Not math, not science, not reading/literacy. We did however rank number 1 in countries for education by a US News survey. According to UNESCO, which we are a part of, we don’t even meet the spending benchmark for education in comparison to our peers

Here are some reasons for the dismantling of the DOE:

1) The federal government has no constitutional authority to play any role in education. It is entirely under the authority of the individual states.

2) See reason number one.

3) If you are looking at reason number three after reading reasons number one and two, your education under federal standards has failed you.

4) You're still reading this list of reasons? I rest my case.

I would have the burden of proof reversed. DOE was not envisioned by the Constitution, did not exist for the first two hundred years of our nation’s history, and test scores have fallen since its inception. So how, pray tell, has DOE justified its continued existence?

It’s much easier to effect change at a local level than national.
