Rouse’s brand of XL eggs are 10.99 for a carton of 18. This was set up on us to destroy our lives as we knew it. It won’t change completely overnight.

It's weird how people react to inflation on a micro-level.

People flip out when eggs go up a bit or the barber raises the price of a haircut by a dollar even though those things add like an extra $20 a year to the household budget.

But home mortgage rates doubling or a car costing an extra $10,000 and they're like "wow, lane assist beeps so now I don't have to turn my fat head five inches when I merge onto the interstate!!! Who cares if I won't be able to afford to pay for my kid's college."

I have friends at work who keep chickens and sell the eggs.

I'm going to start eating pigeon eggs, apparently they don't get the bird flu.

I think your last paragraph is the reason for your first paragraph. So a rewording:

People purchased homes and cars in good times and yes, might even strain their budget. Because of this, when the cost of living goes up, it hurts worse.

One of the oldest sayings is "don't put all your chickens in one basket", and yet, over the years that is what the US has been building towards.

Hope that doesn’t happen, but I’ve seen more liberals suddenly care about food prices the last 6 days than I ever saw over the last 4 years.

I get my eggs from my yard mowing girl. I give her five bucks a dozen and the eggs are no more than 2-3 days old and she also delivers them to the house.

I live on the outskirts of the KC metro, if eggs are $6-7/dozen at the chain supermarket I'm gonna pay the family farmers selling eggs out where I live $6-7/dozen for their free range eggs.

Still cheap, despite record prices.

Eggs are an absolute superfood. I eat them pretty much every day.

He probably believes eggs are bad for you and that you need to eat soy as a replacement lol

I’m still buying them because eggs are an integral part of my diet.

Find someone in your area to buy eggs from... I pay $4/dozen for farm fresh eggs and they always have extra.
