She is so exhausted that she can barely keep her eyes open long enough to see the millions of dead people.

She may have to resort to “alternative” measures to stay woke, I mean...awake.

Exhausted as well. Tired of vaccinating people and working overtime with no pay just so we can do our 'regular' over stressed job on the daily. I feel completely opposite. Open it up and be free. F the masks, F the vaccines and F all the questions about the vaccines every 5 minutes. Abbot's change does absolutely NOTHING in this state besides letting business get going. Wanna double mask up? Keep your arse at home and have someone deliver you food. Tired of all these triple masked, driven in their car Ftards. Sound over the top? Well you can have my job, quitting soon but for the exact opposite of 'TX nurse'

We've been under a mask mandate for 9 months and it's been bad. What difference does it make now?

We are showing up sick to work.

Seems a little counterproductive, but I admit I'm not too knowledgeable in the area. But I've got another question, with a qualifier up front: I'm sure you/y'all receive a flu shot every year, but aside from the flu and the level of protection derived from the flu shot, are there a litany of other viral diseases and whatnot that y'all could potentially come into contact with on a daily basis? If so, does that mean that you all do or probably should be wearing PPE at all other times while you're at work, exactly like you practice now with covid?

Not really. Now when COVID did not exist and the flu season was a thing a few docs I work with and a couple nurses would wear a mask with flu patients. Or going to see obvious flu like symptom patients. Especially those with small kids or infants at home. We have herd immunity to most everything else you mention. On top of that healthcare workers are constantly exposed so we are constantly walking around with an amped up immune system.

My own “known exposure” regimen is steal some patient apple juice from the fridge and shoot a glass of it. Take a vitamin c gummie at home. That was the same for t(e flu 2-3 years ago and is the same for COVID now.

Good. There is no competition. Knock on wood, nobody has ever shot at me while try8ng to tend to a patient. But you “signed up for it”.

I signed up to care for patients. Deal with nasty shite and stress. I did not sign up to be shot at while doing it like you did.

Poor comparison but I will try. It’s like your military career being spent ALL in Afghanistan or any other hellhole, and the minute it remotely calmed down you were moved to someplace worse. Or you volunteered for 4 years and 3 years in somebody comes up and says “nah bud. We extended you to 8”. Or the Pentagon decided that all combat troops will now fight only using handguns. You didn’t sign up for that shite.

You being military also makes me think you are butthurt over something that makes me cringe. “Hero”. So many hurt feelings of oilfield and military guys over the use of this word.

I DONT LIKE IT EITHER. I appreciate that we are appreciated, but hero is strong.

You a nurse, Focker? Lol

I kid. Dr, RN, or otherwise, couple quick questions:

Referring back to your herd immunity remark, is regular use of facemasks not negatively affecting the typical herd immunity for other common annual viruses and whatnot? Are we not actually lessening our natural and essential herd immunities??

And does a person afflicted with psoriasis have a leg up in terms of immunity? Overactive immune system or something like that??

**And thank you.

Please don’t ever compare being a fricking nurse to combat in Afghanistan ever again. What is wrong with you?

And no. I don’t care about the hero label. I find it very uncomfortable when people say thank you. If some idiot leftist wants to call you a hero after watching one of your tik tok videos, it doesn’t bother me at all.

What people take issue with is your overinflated sense of importance. Like you’ve displayed for us in this thread.
