Well, it would be disappointing if one misunderstood the purpose. The purpose was not to "sell books." The purpose was to generate an advance to justify a payment to Jill Biden. I'm sure the publisher is very pleased with their access to the President of these United States.

She probably got a big advance for the book. This was just to get around campaign laws and pay Biden a lot of money. No one cares whether it sells or not, they probably paid Biden money upfront and that was good for everyone. Now Biden will reward someone with some government money.
