I think he’s wrong and right.
I think the building in front of Trump in this photo is not the building the shooter was on based on how Trump appears to be facing the lectern.
I could be wrong.

More importantly, the pitch on that roof looks like it might even be 1:12, 3:12 MAX...
For those of you who don't understand roofing, it means the roof pitch excuse was absolute horseshite.
Hang on, looks like it may not be the same building... but construction was likely similar.

I thought the same thing. I guessed 2:12 on the roof of the building where the shooter was.
But both the parking lot (where the police likely tried to see the shooter) and the spot where Trump was speaking sit well below grade for the building.
You can’t see onto the roof from a normal viewing height in the parking lot based on the Google maps street view. You have to go around to the other side of the building (which appears to be higher) where the civvies were yelling for police that someone was on the building. And this spot is higher than Trump’s elevation.
ETA: I didn’t realize there was a statement saying they wouldn’t put someone on a sloped roof (which is obviously stupid).
But the slope could absolutely hide someone on the other side given the elevations involved and the slope.

is it a shot that hits the forklift holding up a speaker that they pan to after the shot. you see the hydraulic line spraying out and the booms retracts in at a pretty fast pace.
