Establishment pols from the left and right are playing a dangerous game by trying to set an example to other outsiders like Trump who may decide to run. Here’s why:
The next outsider who happens to win POTUS will have learned from Trump and will absolutely burn down the swamp like Sherman leaving Atlanta.

Politicians are making a big show of militarize for DC for their own protection. But they gotta go back to their state / district at some point.

Yeah, they're basically saying that there will be zero tolerance. The next guy (won't happen any time soon) will know the ground rules and will know there's no room for negotiation.

I fear this is true. Between the brainwashing of young voters, and the imminent streaming into the country of new democratic voters, I see little opportunity for conservatives to win any national elections.
