He is just spitballing based on his hunch. I loved the part where he actually broke down what happened that led to this conclusion. If anything infrastructure issue occurs everyone will immediately say China and it was a trial run.

Solar Flares at night? Wow some kinda stupid to believe that!

A study of the normal run magnetogram data of two equatorial stations, Kodaikanal (Geo. Long. 77 deg 28 min E, Dip 3.5 deg N) and Huancayo (Geo. Long. 75 deg 20 min W, Dip 2.0 deg N), for a three year period (1969-1971), showed that solar flare effects on geomagnetic variation do occur even in the dark hemisphere. The night time geomagnetic effects of solar flares as observed at Kodaikanal are noticed to exhibit a distinct shape and possess sufficient amplitude in the H-component (more than 4 times the distance from the earth's center at the maximum). A comparative study of the characteristics of the night time geomagnetic effects of solar flares observed at Kodaikanal in relation to the simultaneous day time effects observed at Huancayo, revealed that the night time effects are characterized by slower rise and decay compared to day time effects.

But they aren’t selective. If the do some damage at all then they will do to all equipment

Look at all the lost sales to China's cheap Amazon crap if we have a wide spread outage.

Per this space weather link the "only thing that matters for which part is facing the sun is the high frequency radio blackouts...the total ionosphere disruption and global electric circuit impact does not."
And you can see this when listening to AM radio during the day. AM is long wave frequency and you usually get terrible range during the day and very good range at night.

excellent interview.
how can any soul with a semi functioning brain not be pissed at Biden and the establishment allowing China to OD Americans?

Milley, McMaster, Mattis, the MIC----are vile greedy human beings. How do they sleep at night?

I'm not saying it's out of the realm of possibility. I'm just saying that external boogeymen are meant to distract from legit internal issues. Think back over the last few decades, there have always been external boogeymen that the government and msm prop up, and focus their attention on, distracting from domestic horrors.

Well it’s a little difficult to be convinced that our enemies would give us a trial run and essentially give us a free test to show where our weaknesses are and what needs to be addressed/improved. That would run counter to the enemy’s goals, it would seem.
In any event, I’m kinda glad it did happen at that particular level and degree so that we could get some real world feedback and insight into what we need to address and improve. Maybe it was precisely that, a real world drill to test ourselves for weaknesses and such.

What’re we going to do with our leadership?
We currently have another mystery balloon crossing the country.
What’re we doing about that?

I read that the outage occurred as a result of a software upgrade by AT&T. Of course the default fallback by many on this board is some wild malicious conspiracy by a major trade partner.

Gaslighting is gaslighting, but is this REALLY that much of a stretch to think China or China using N.K. would do this just to see if they "could", and then monitor the fix to improve results?
No tin foil hat, just seeing the possibility that this could be a real thing.

Lol. “Many on this board”. Try many throughout the world. It’s a perfectly reasonable concept to discuss, all things considered at this time.

I think he’s genuine in believing it was China.. unfortunately I don’t believe it was genuinely China. They’re too great of a scapegoat not to use when you’re testing how to further control your citizens… ironically something China is very good at. Imagine if they decided shut down service for every single person who voted for Trump as threats to democracy. Don’t get any of those bluetooth operated appliances because let’s be real , were all pretty much on that list lol.
