“Gray said the single-shot J&J vaccine offered 91% to 96.2% protection against death, while offering 67% protection against hospitalisation when the Beta coronavirus variant dominates and about 71% protection against hospitalisation when the Delta variant dominates.”

People were concerned that J&J might not work against Delta since it is only one shot. But this study says otherwise.

It might be an attractive option for somebody that really doesn’t want to go through the possibility of getting side effects from 2 shots yet gives you some pretty good protection.

My wife didn’t really want 2 shots (didn’t really want one either) but went with J&J a while back. She never gets the flu shot and never has had the flu so wasn’t an easy sell. It made more sense to at least get her to do that one shot. She is happy she did it and knows she will have some protection if she were to get infected. Like other people, I had some concern that maybe that one shot wasn’t going to be enough for Delta, but happy to see the results of this study.

It is their decision to make, unless of course, you (like your savior...Lord Fauci) want mandates.

Why don’t you either go on record as demanding that mandates be dictated, or allow people to choose for themselves.

Which is it? I mean at this point, it is either freedom, or tyranny in the name of “the greater good.”

I pro-vaccine (for those that haven’t previously had Covid) for those with major health issues. But I’m also pro-freedom (the individual should get to choose their own course of action).

One, I have an Oath of “Do No Harm”. Sitting back and saying nothing violates that.

My wish would have been for everyone at increased risk to choose to take the vaccine:

We know we are nowhere near that and all of the denial that has come with it.

Hospitals truly are having issues. A large hospital system turned down 300 transfers for tertiary care over the last 10 days. People’s individual bad decisions are affecting others right now.

I definitely don’t want the under 18 crowd being mandated with a vaccine. I would prefer there be no mandate at all for a vaccine. I don’t know what the answer is with this many having so much distrust of everything.

Two questions before I trust you believe what you are saying.

1. Can I see you vaccination card.
2. Can I see the vaccination cards of your spouse and children over 12.

If you can show me those two things I will believe that you believe what you are saying is true.
