Homework assignment: write a paragraph explaining how the question you asked assumes a myopic self-absorbed life philosophy.

They made up laws and issued a poor ruling. You're over-complicating it.

There is no such thing as gay marriage. It doesn't affect my life at all. Having a little slip of paper from the government does not make you married.
I see this as a lesson in big government. We should have never allowed the government to get involved in issuing marriage licenses in the first place, should have never put marriage penalties into the tax code, and we should have let people enter into civil property contracts with whomever or whatever they wished.

This would be fun to watch. I'm really interested in the spin we will see.

I don't understand how anyone who's seen the adoption/foster system in America could be against gay parents adopting.

Legally speaking, it does.

Totally agree.

The fricking fallout from this, whether pro or anti LGBT, will be cataclysmic.
I like that we don't know what it will be. If it was a normal republican or a democrat we know what it would be ahead of time.
I hope it is pro-gay as well, for the record.

I don't either, but I'm not religious. There are a large amount of mostly older religious folks that believe children being raised by gay couples is an abomination.
meh.
meh.

yep. would rather them be in a loving home than a prisoner of the system. hope trump does the right thing on this.

I think kids being raised by gay parents is unnatural and less than ideal.
That said, if kids that weren't going to be adopted are now going to have loving parents, my objections just aren't that important.

It is typically not a better situation than a traditional opposite-sex household, but it can be better than some other situations. If they would get rid of the adoption red tape in our country we would have less of the traditional families looking to adopt from overseas.

What would he be doing with adoption? As socially conservative as I am, I still believe that adoption by stable homosexual couples is far better than growing up in various foster homes or group homes.

Insane.
We grew up next to a fundamentalist who used her adopted kids for free labor, and every single one of them ended up in jail.

And can be flat harmful depending on the beliefs (gender identity for example) of said parents. But still, it's hard to deny them the opportunity considering the alternative.

Utter silence. There's no way they make a point to report a pro-homo story

Left will ignore it so they can stay angry.

Trump is an idiot if he tries to shutdown those adoptions.
Yeah, this surprises me that Trump would even touch this issue with a 49 and a half foot pole. I thought he wouldn't do really anything for or against gay people.
