Enjoy your holiday, celebrating the Republicans ending slavery in America

Lincoln freed slaves, then on June 19th, 1865 Major General Gordon Granger ordered the final enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation in Texas
If you are a Democrat, you can also celebrate this by remembering that the Democrats response to all of this was to start the Ku Klux Klan

I’m thankful to be a part of the race that ended slavery worldwide. Never been more prouder to be white than on this day.

Also, remember that a week ago, an African-American became the world's first trillionaire.
We went from enslaving African-Americans to one becoming the richest man in modern history

My clients are all financial institutions and HUD, so I at least won't have any phone calls or emails from them today

Funny, how black Americans remain so loyal to the Democrat Party. Sure, they wanted statues removed, streets and buildings re-named, military installations re-named...they wanted anything that had to do with the confederacy cancelled and removed from sight so that they wouldn't be reminded of slavery.
Yet, they remain chained to the plantations that the Democrat Party has so gladly built for them. Like Joe Biden once said, "you ain't black if you don't vote Democrat". You think that kind of sentiment was floating around in the south up until the late 60's and early 70's?
This is why I call bullshite on a black person when they attempt to use that reminder stuff as an excuse to cancel anything!

So Juneteenth is day to celebrate the birthday of the KKK?

If you love Democrat history, it is.

Blacks don't care as much about that stuff as you think. White guilt liberal like to virtue signal on behave of blacks because they know more about the black experience. Just ask any Karen.

In all seriousness, this was Pelosi and Biden's way of attempting to placate blacks instead of truly helping them by getting them off the teat of gubmint.
Like I say, I love getting an extra day off at taxpayer's expense but this was pretty much a slap in the face to everyone else which backfired.
Democrats are pretty damn incompetent. And at a time, they could be eating Orange Man's lunch, they don't believe they can step on their own piss flaps enough.

Yet both parties switched platforms.

But muh republican'ts today are the KKK, not the democrats!
I can't wait for a progressive to enter this thread and spread this lie....
While completely ignoring Robert Byrd's funeral and all of the attendees just a decade ago. Yep, all those racist democrats like Gore, Clinton, etc are all actually republicans. LOLOLOLOLOL

Let's not forget this guy. Senator Robert Byrd. (KKK-WV)
"In December 1944, Byrd wrote to segregationist Mississippi Senator Theodore G. Bilbo:
I shall never fight in the armed forces with a negro by my side ... Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds.
— Robert C. Byrd, in a letter to Sen. Theodore Bilbo (D-MS), 1944"
He wasn't just some Klan member. And he was the Democratic majority and minority leader in the Senate from 1977 to 1989.
"Byrd became a recruiter and leader of his chapter. When it came time to elect the top officer (Exalted Cyclops) in the local Klan unit, Byrd won unanimously. Despite his later claim to have only been a KKK member for a year, documents indicate that Byrd joined the KKK around 1941, and a 1946 letter to Samuel Green indicates that Byrd was a Klan member until at least 1946."
