Someone tell me if I’m wrong. But apparently there’s a provision in the current CR that would crack down on cannabinoids that are currently permitted, and Rand is trying to strike that out of the CR to maintain status quo?

Why is a provision like that in this supposed CR in the first place? I’m with Rand on this. Something tells me a lot of posters that responded first have this backwards.

SDV can you explain why you are laughing? I am legit confused

I fricking hate the smell of weed and dont think you should be able to smoke in public but why are we regulating hemp? or non public use of THC? how is it different from alcohol if not used in public? im confused. and why wouldnt hemp legality be a states rights issue?

but like i said...isnt this a good thing for reducing the overall number of fed workers if the shutdown continues? I mean to me long term that is way more important.

Not necessarily a bad thing. He delays this into December all those government furloughs get the ax. I think the administration can also whack a bunch more starting Dec. 1.
that was my thought on the matter.

However, in this case Paul will be portrayed in the media as a Trump ally and ultra-conservative if it delays opening the government.

If it does go through, Paul will be an independent minded libertarian and Trump resistance fighter to paint the Dims in the best possible light.

He said he’s not going to hold up the bill he just wants the Hemp provision to be discussed on the floor.

States rights, correct? How can anything they pass usurp the States that are for certain milligram's of hemp?
