The end of a two party system would NOT be good for America. Once upon a time the Democrat Party stood for the dignity and rights of workers and all the benefits that went with that (a living wage, affordable heathcare, a decent standard of living). That was my father's FDR Democrat Party.
It was FDR and his WPA legislation that helped this country (and my father) claw its way out of the Great Depression.
My parents changed party affiliation to Republican.....and remember my parents were staunch democrat. They did not leave the democrat party..........the democrat party left them.
It went downhill from there.
Change direction democrats, or change your name.

100% most people in my feed who are bitching about it are blaming Trump. Even though it's congress.
Though I don't totally buy the "only cut benifits for illegals" i don't think illegals can get anything but emergency Healthcare.
I know they can't get medicaid.

I hope you are right, but sadly, these people have been brainwashed into believing that Republicans are the enemy. In order for the democrat voters to change, they will need a reset and learn to research their party and begin to think for themselves without influence. I hope I am wrong, but many of these are too lazy to figure this out.

This. This strategy was obvious to me as of a few weeks ago... Especially when I realized the Dems and their media are planting the seeds with their dimwit followers. My Mom, who watches MSNBC and CNN all day, started talking about how worried about the economy she was all the sudden. She said nothing the last four years.

The Great Depression was before WWII. And it was not the spending associated with WWII that helped my father crawl out of poverty. Although my father did benefit from the availability of captured German POW's during WWII to help bring in the crops. (The ranking NCO told my Dad they felt lucky were captured by the Yanks and not the Ruskies) I specifically recall Dad talking about working for the WPA during the Great Depression.
