Elon Musk quietly becomes biggest known donor in midterms as he tries to save Republicans

This man has done more for our country than anyone not named Trump in the last 50 years
His DOGE efforts were amazing (and attacked by elected officials on BOTH sides)
We owe him a tremendous debt of gratitude
Thank God that he and Trump patched things up… His purchase of twitter basically saved free speech and now he is putting his money where his mouth is - I just hope it’s enough - I’m very confident that republicans keep the Senate, we just have to keep the House dry close - it would be nice to keep that majority, but keeping it close is critical…

NEW YORK (AP) — Elon Musk, the world's only trillionaire, has quietly become the biggest known donor in this year's midterm elections, doling out more than $276 million since July to try to save Republican majorities in Congress.
quote:
It's a dramatic turnaround since last May, when Musk said he intended to cut back on future political spending. "I think I've done enough," he said at the time.
Despite the cash infusion, Musk has generally kept a lower profile than in 2024, when he appeared on stage next to Trump at rallies, and in the early days of the president's second term, when he led the Department of Government Efficiency.

So when Zuckerberg donates to democrats to the tune of several hundred million dollars is he also characterized as trying to save them?
MSM (Lying Media) is simply playing the game of deceit fashioned to sow concern for or scare GOP patrons.

Elon Musk addresses some of the more outlandish claims, including that civil war in Britain is “inevitable”.

I would rather him give money to feed people or build homes for people that can’t afford them
Giving money to a party is stupid imo

probably holding his nose but he is smart enough to realize all other alternatives lead to more hell.

Elon has already offered to feed all the world's poor if someone would provide an exact accounting of how the money would be spent. No one crying about feeding the poor was willing to do it, because they only want that money to be able to funnel it to leftwing orgs.

tells you what their agenda really is...they don't actually want to solve problems..they want a permanent yoke on productive members of society.

Elon is the GOP soros

Elon is the GOP soros
elon is up front with everything he's doing and genuinely wants to promote healthy outcomes.
soros hides in the dark and creates chaos and violence.

The Economist, like the WSJ, has always been a globalist rag that pushed globalism, organizations over nations, unlimited migration and open borders, government and government power over the individual and individual freedoms. But over the past several years it has gone completely off the rails. This woman editor in chief is wholly indicative of the outlet.
She would never interview Soros and tell him that people justifiably hate him; but she’ll tell Elon such.
And she should at least be honest: she should have said “I hate you…”

I listened to npr yesterday.
I swear, anyone listening that didn’t know better would come away fully believing that gerrymandering was created two years ago by Republicans.

my mind will never wrap itself around how the screaming banshees in the media, hollywood and the Left vilify the people who want to live a quiet productive life, save babies from being murdered, children from being molested, fraud being exposed and punishing violent criminals.
what a world.
ETA that sentence above sums up the D platform. who the frick looks at that and says "yes! i want to live in THAT world!'

Elon doesn’t care for Republicans all that much.
He’s just doing what he can to stop the communists from burning everything to the ground.

If they are talking about gerrymandering and the GOP, NPR must be worried about the effect. But you are right. NPR is the mouthpiece for the most liberal of liberals.
Whenever I hear someone in a crowd talk about what they heard on NPR, I know I will not be having a conversation with that person. (Unless she wants to ..... you know what I'm talking about!)

I know what you're saying, but him buying Twitter did not "save free speech."
Private companies deciding what can and cannot be posted or seen on their platforms is not a free speech issue.
Conservatives (the few that existed) kept telling the Big Government populists here who wanted the government to control private businesses that if there was an audience for the suppressed dialogue, the free market would solve the problem.
And, that's exactly what happened.
P.S. $276 million for that guy is like anybody here combing through the couch cushions for loose change.
