these stories are all great, but we need to see some more action; hoping this happens this week
Daily Mail
and what does "administrative leave" accomplish? is that step one in actually being fired?

Thousands of federal workers are still not complying with President Donald Trump's orders to return full time to working in-person.
Elon Musk says these employees will begin facing consequences this week.
quote:
'Those who ignored President Trump's executive order to return to work have now received over a month's warning,' Musk posted to X early Monday morning.
'Starting this week,' Trump's 'first buddy' continued, 'those who still fail to return to office will be placed on administrative leave.'
His threat to relieve even more federal employees from their posts came in response to a claim that half of government agency workplaces in Washington, D.C. are still half empty.

Like woth all of them, we’ll be paying them for months to come.
Atleast they’ll have their accesses revoked.

It's pretty well known there are procedures in place for them to follow. With that said, I have no idea if they can move faster?

Other than the fact that he was commissioned by the one elected official that the entire nation votes for?

What has he been commissioned to do? Gov lawyers say he’s just a presidential advisor with no power.

Do you know how to fricking read? The whole point of the thread is that they are not listening.

They just need to listen to their boss not political players wanting them to fight the rules and the consequences there in.

I hope they ignore him, stay at home, and face the consequences of ignoring Trump's Executive order.
Yes, please do not listen to him.

What is it you object to?
Who is making the demand or the demand itself?

You need to ask your buddies over at MSM this question. They seem to hang-on to every word he says and then try to figure out a way to dispute him.

Here's how this will play out.
They will continue to wfh. If they get placed on asmin leave, they will sit home making cash. If they get fired, they will sue and will make bank.
That's what happens when you implement dumb ideas and double down on ignorance.

There is an order of operations in play. With government employees, there is always a process in place when it comes to terminations. Sure, they could have come in and terminated everyone on day 1, then they would be dealing with legal battles that would drag out and run the risk of reinstatement. BY laying out the requirements, following a certain order with specified time parameters, it should eliminate the threat of reinstatement and reduce the legal burdens. They can still file the suits, but majority should get thrown out via summary judgements.

Many may be ‘ghost jobs’ like the ghost voters. They are flushing them out, day by day.
