Musk is super pissed because Navarro called Tesla an American car assembler and not an American car manufacturer.

True story.

I'm not really a fan of Lutnick and Navarro. I think they're cranks. Bessent is the brains of the economic operation though I'm not sure he's always the driver because those two cranks are very strong personalities.

I'll give an example of why I think these guys are cranks:

Vietnam immediately comes to the table willing to go to zero tariffs and Navarro is trying to dunk on them about how that isn't enough.

Look, Vietnam among others in the Asian sphere are essential to isolating China as they siphon industry away from China and deepen their trade relationships with the West. I'm sure we want more than just unfettered entry into their markets but I think it is more than enough to have access because of the other implicit benefits of drawing them closer to the West.

I don't think Lutnick and Navarro understand the bigger geopolitical picture sometimes in their comments.

Point still is that the clever can take advantage of chaos to end up in a better position.

“Better position” is relative.

To a degree, there needs to be chaos right now... doesn't bother me one bit. This has all occurred in less than one week

Regardless of what Musk or Navarro says, Trump understands his plan. Ive heard Bessent and Lutnick in several interviews and haven't heard contradictions.
Some folks are making Trumps plan for foreign trade all about tariffs, which it isn't. Tariffs are one part. Trump, Lutnick, and Bessent have all explained this repeatedly.

The commie media isn’t being crass when they use terms like chaotic. I don’t want that to be accurate but at some point you can’t ignore the chaos. One can make an argument that Trump chaos is good and intentional and well thought out. One cannot make the argument that chaotic isn’t an appropriate description at times.

Why aren't you talking about the stock market today?

I still find it amazing that you never could find one single thing to criticize O'Biden for in 4 years. It's almost like you have a little agenda in play.

Why? It provides great distraction.

Depends on the definition of American made he's using.

Per Elon's own Grok Tesla's vary between 60 and 75% American made when considering the parts, not just assembly.

I have no idea if this is right.

but it probably is.

You don't always take the first deal when it comes to negotiating.

And considering this has a lot to do with China. You probably want a bunch of countries at the table first before you start cranking out deals to ensure that china won't just bypass and dump in other countries.

You have me confused with someone else. I haven't really discussed the stock market. I've discussed the economy (globally and our domestic one).

I've only really discussed the stock market to display MAGA's hypocrisy and leftist rhetoric, and that was only in passing (even that discussion focused primarily on leftist rhetoric about things other than the stock market).

I disagreed with almost every Biden policy, including his decision to continue Trump's tariffs

Promoting less government and capitalism is my agenda. I'm clear about it.

I still think it's the news.

Here is my argument.

Stock market crashed under Biden. News basically said it didn't happen and 17 economists said Bidens plan is great.

Now look at last week. black monday, great depression.

Want more evidence?

Covid. Death tracker under trump. No death tracker but more deaths under biden.

Don't be a globalist shill. You are better than that.

You can find the statements from Lutnick, Navarro, and Bessent themselves that are conflicting and chaotic, though. It's not some creation of the media.

Not a good look for Elon. Even if he is right, keep that shite private. No need to air these internal disputes.
