course. Musk has a better track record of success. If your worst salesman causes a scene, you fire him. If your best salesman does, you tell him to take a break and cool down.

Elon brought a lot of people into MAGA, started DOGE, and provided a more free speech platform that controls discourse on the internet.

Rand and Massie gave us some no votes and some bills that never made it to the floor. (Rand entertains us every Christmas, so he gets a bonus point over Massie.)

Elon is powerless within government. Rand and Massie have the power of the vote. They're the only ones that stood up to say this bill is a piece of shite that continues to blow out the deficit with only performative cuts over 10 years that are barely a grain of sand in comparison.

But this bill is Trumps baby so when he went after them, you retards got in line "CUCK! OBSTRUCTIONIST! GET THE frick OUT! HERE'S YOUR ATTENTION YOU WHORE!"

I wish we had more in congress like Paul and Massie who actually gave a frick and took it seriously. Theyre probably the only true allies Elon has on actual budget reform. And that might include MAGA fans who wanted DOGE cuts and budget reform but when it came down to taking a stand, you chose tribal politics. Like rabid sports fan you were a fanatic for your teaim. All that mattered was Trump getting the W for getting his bill passed. Budget and debt be damned.

Musk speaking out about out of control government spending is turning on MAGA/America First?

Seems like Musk is standing up for one of the most important political items on the MAGA/America First list......reducing the size of the Federal government and reducing US debt.

I'm not that pessimistic. I feel like a good number of people's eyes have been opened. I know it's far from enough, of course.

He stands for the LARP of MAGA. The reality of MAGA is bigger government and more spending.

I've been called a "Leftist" or "DEM" since 2016 for pointing this distinction out and not giving up on assigning the appropriate level of hypocrisy.

What would you expect him to do, criticize Republicans for failing to pass a budget and wasting four months? It doesn’t work that way

If you'd stop trying to put your peen in your mouth you'd realize being against a bill =/= disdain for Trump.

This bill is for mandatory spending. The rest has to come through other bills. I'm kind of surprised Elon doesn't understand this.

It’s simple to solve the debt issue.

ABOLISH THE FED NOW!

Arrest the families that are descendants of the creators of the Fed, Cancel the Debt & everyone gets a new start and assets paid off.

The FED IS ILLEGAL! It’s against the Constitution & these Globalist POS are making huge interest on money that doesn’t even exist.

It’s the biggest crime against humanity EVER!

It purposely was set up to bankrupt American Citizens and make us all financial slaves because they lost to us in the Revolution.

If Trump doesn’t “ABOLISH THE FED”, I’m out on him too.

I don't know of one person who claims to be MAGA/America First who doesn't want a balanced budget amendment, congressional term limits, along with reducing the size go Federal government by 50%

Go read any thread about Massie or Rand Paul and their objections to Trump's BBB

So, why was the "LARP" appealing to them?

I don't agree with the totality of the BBB. I think BBB misses the mark completely on reducing the federal deficit and reducing the size of the federal government, all the MAGA folks I know feel the same way.

It's a vestige of traditional conservatism/Republican status.

They pretend all the Leftism of the Trump/AF agenda is the fault of others (just look at this thread for shedding blame on Congress or voters, which I saw you had issue with, in particular).

The people who remained promoting more of the traditional/conservative policies became weird projections of "Leftism" for the MAGA/AF crowd.

You have "conservatives" now promoting Kenyesian economics, market manipulation while criticizing "big corporations" and "corporate profits and using talking points like "Slave wages" and promoting "living wages". It's pretty insane how many people not only can completely 180 on so many policies, but maintain the projection that they're somehow the true version of conservatism while using literal Leftist policies and talking points

Like Bunk has said, they're a step away from being pro-Union
