Elizabeth Warren should actually read this whole passage and rethink her position on Free Everything! Yes, we are called to care for the poor, but we are also called to be good stewards of those things which God has bestowed upon us.

Original Sin (Man's evil nature) will eventually destroy everything good. When that time comes, the end is near. Elizabeth's side has much work to do until then. There is much deceptiveness and evil to be spread onto the world yet. It will be slow, and the result will be welcomed.

Why is Warren quoting from the Bible? Shouldn’t she be telling us about the Great Spirit, or the Spirit Horse, or some other native american deity?

Here you go. I should have included that in the first post. She says God calls us to act not just sit back. I don't disagree, however if you study the whole passage there is a lot of wisdom to unpack which Warren completely omits.
The Lord gives according to each person's several ability and is pleased with the servant who doubles what is given to him. Now, there is literal translation and the layers of metaphor as well. It's not just about money, it's about the word of God also. There are lessons about taking care of those who CAN'T care for themselves, not those who WON'T care for themselves.
I just feel these politicians are good at finding one verse of the Bible to support one stance, but they are missing the whole message within.
What about abortion? What about not being unequally yoked with unbelievers? What about not having fellowship with devils?
