Elderly Trump supporter beaten to death in California

He is being held without bail, jail records show. Butler, also of Escondido, was arraigned Friday and pleaded not guilty, NBC San Diego reported. A message left at a number listed under a relative’s name was not immediately returned.

The guy sucker punched him in the jaw and then proceeded to stomp on his head over and over causing catastrophic trauma to the head.

Not a big fan of the hate crime designation, murder is murder. The political violence has gotten out of hand, maybe it's time for additional prison time for political violence.

It’s one thing to be partisan but when someone’s politics gets to the point that they are willing to kill over it then things have gotten way out of hand.

What are the official and legal grounds for hate crimes?
Whatever grounds these are should be applied for politically motivated violence too.
