He is a poor manager at best. A dirty felon possibly. He never has impressed me as being very smart.

While I do think that he has a huge political future in the House of Representin’, he needs to come home and drain the political swamp here while Trump is in office and can offer assistance as requested. There are too many local swamp creatures that need to spend their remaining lives in a concrete box.

I assume your talking about Daniel?

It is going to interesting to see what the FBI comes out with. Most of the time if they seize computers and documents of a public official like that then someone is going to jail.

Don't be fooled. That family has been in and out of politics in Tangi for a long time. Shady stuff has always went on but they have always avoided anything serious.

4 generations.

no question he is professional politician as is JBE and Frank. I think they both think they can run things like Frank Sr. did and no one will find out. We will see if voters will overlook their shenanigans.

It's pretty arrogant to let a gambling license lay for 25-30 years and then find a place to use it on lands of friends and family.

. I hear he raised like $750K for the sheriff. Why would DOTD vendors care about the local sheriff's race???

I would be surprised if he ran again.

Daniel will run and be elected Sheriff until he decides to retire. He knows once Scott retires as DA, he has no chance to win that position. He will not want to go the way of Jimmy Sparacello if he wants to remain relevant in local politics.

The bad thing is the north end of the parish votes for them no matter what goes on. If the South end could get a few good candidates to run there time would be over.

This is the type of stuff the FBI constantly complains about in Louisiana but can’t do anything about because Louisiana law allows for this type of corruption to take place.

Exhibit A of why businesses go to Alabama, Texas, Florida and why they avoid Louisiana.

The congressman Ralph Abraham is running from North Louisiana. He’s a really great conservative, but I don’t know how he’ll overcome the south Louisiana “one of us” mentality.

Not sure about that. I know some big former supporters that want someone else.

I know a good law man that happens to be black that is being encouraged to run.

Hope he starts raising money soon and figures out a way to get some press coverage in the South.

Him and Scott are tight but Scott has no impact on Daniel being re-elected. Scott doesn't have the stroke in the Parish that Daniel does. ( if they suddenly turned on each other Daniel could crush Scott's DA career ) The Edwards family controls the black vote in Tangi. But lets see if Daniel runs again. Rumor on the street is that he may hang it up. I imagine it will all depends on what the FBI comes out with.

If he runs, I know some people down here who will likely rush to volunteer for him barring certain unnamed GOP candidates entering the race.

Perhaps not as tight as they used to be.

Why didn't Scott put Sparacello in jail??

Why would someone in your area be volunteering for a race in Tangi?

I’m talking about Congressman Abraham running for governor against Edwards and likely Kennedy or Landry.

He is talking about the Governor's race and North and South Louisiana.

You and I are talking about the Sheriff and North and South Tangipahoa.
