Don't have much respect for any of the print journalists since James Gill got retired by the Newhouse corporation. Maybe the Hayride will pick this story up and embarrass the Advocate and/or the Picayune into elaborating on the casino's connections.
Tangipahoa Parish politicians have long benefited from being on the fringe of major daily TV media coverage from Baton Rouge and New Orleans. Lee Zurich's Fox 8 may have as much uncover there as he does in St. Tammany, but his producers can't see the ratings numbers to justify dollars needed for substantial investigation and air time. Ditto Chris Nakamoto at WBRZ in BR.
