This isn't enough. The anti-American Democrat (don't argue - it's always a Democrat) that initially tried to enact this needs to be fired. There needs to be ramifications for this lunacy.

Its like these people don't understand that telling a group of high school students that they can't/shouldn't fly something like a flag will only increase their desire to do so.

Being that Edmond is a north suburb of OKC, not much will happen. They're good pro-Americs people up there, but they aren't quite as red arse as SE Oklahoma.

I get it, the progs are worried about offending someone.... but, it's fricking America!
We should be proud. Just like that kid said, people have died for that flag, so we all can have the freedoms we enjoy.
That's the part people forget. Without the sacrifice of so many we wouldn't have what we have.

When I read the policy, I don't see a problem with it.
They say the pledge every day, they have a flag in every classroom, they have a Junior ROTC program.
Then they show a picture of a truck (presumably a students truck) where the flag is hanging overboard, almost being dragged along the road and dangerously close to the wheels. If it touches soil, it has to be burned according to protocol.
I think people are reacting "knee jerk" to the words "flag ban" but if you read up on the situation it isn't that bad. I can see a military academy having the same rules.

I grew up in Edmond (North was a rival high school). This story will be Exhibit A when I try to convince my wife for the thousandth time tonight how much better of a place Oklahoma is to raise a child than Louisiana (although I’m sure this specific story would play out the same way in large swaths of LA).

Raise your hand if you remember Rush Limbaugh talking about how Democrats were less patriotic than Republicans. I do. And this was 20+ years ago.
It was easy to gauge by the number of American flags flying which parts of town were going to vote Republican.

I visited a HS in Edmond years ago and the kids and teachers were great. They also had a brilliant idea for the school cafeteria. It was way downstairs underground. That way it could double as a shelter if a tornado hit during school hours.

I must say, its absurd we are even talking about flying the flag.
This isnt a discussion, should never be. No one should ever have an issue with that flag being flow and if they do they arent in the right country.
